Thanks for the ınspıratıon as ever! Indeed the time is running out! I really appreciate your drive to help others. You are a really good person who seems to separate what really matters from the trivia. I wish I can succeed in that. As for your last comment on showing respect to older veterans. Absolutely those who have liberated France and Italy durıng WWII deserve enourmous amount of respect. Actually I was in Omaha Beach last summer and it is amazing. Even the French who are known as grumpy, the locals around that area have not forgetten and still to this day are very grateful. As for other veterans, who participated in the massacres of the Vıetnamese people, oil genocide in Iraq and then in Afghanistan etc, I do not have the same feelings. I think they should be tried as war criminals. In any case, I think you only meant the WWII veterans when you said "older" veterans.

People in France are grateful to US for liberation? If so, probably because they have to side with the winner now. Just listen to this US veteran of his days during the war in Normandy: They were angry at us because we broke their black market. They were selling diary products to Germans and French. And we stopped that trade and destroyed their towns. We were not welcomed" (listen to yourselves "German-born Jew on Interrogating Nazi Prisoners of War | Victor Brombert" channel: American Veterans Center.

That speech helped me firmly decide to NOT back out of a couple of recreational trips that are fully planned to other states in the coming month. I backed out of one this week to Florida of all places, LOL, because my house is such a huge mess right now, a monkey on my back causing me anxiety. Thanks for the push. 😃

Everyone has a knack in life. From your "How to sail" video to this one, you, Sir, are a teacher.

"Everything runs to its end" (Nick Cave?). Even this good video!

I know the people in USA are not aware of how US conduct in Vetnam, Iraq, Afghanistan are viewed outside the US. But to say the least, we do not really view in good light people like William Calley of My Lai massacre where more than 500 civilians killed... Hats off to those respectable real veterands who saved Europe from Nazis, in spite of the Europeans in many cases (NO! Unlike what the French almost claim now, not everybody was "resistance fighter" in France... Actually then the ordinary people saw them as terrorists...).

The reason why I'm watching sailing videos is because i don't want to regret in twenty years time that i didn't do it. I've traveled many countries, done many things, but there's always more to adventure, and memories to make.

There are many content people who are happy to continue to experience the little things in life. Age is just a number and I commend anyone at any age to follow their dreams.

So true! Life is an adventure and it’s is truly a waste to not try to experience as many of life’s adventures as you can. They may not all be safe, but you’ll never know unless you try! Thanks for your thoughts!

Hey man, you definitely are the OG of a small group who influenced me to take sailing lessons last year, AND right now I'm writing this from Mexico City after walking 12 miles today. I miss your motorcycle vids, they did put me here. Only have a week so the city was easiest to get to and explore. Some time I'mma do more of the country, hopefully on a bike. So thanks, and cheers. Both sailing and Mexico City are bucket list experiences.

Awesome! Mexico City is great. Let me know if you want any sightseeing tips. Definitely visit the big Chapultepec Park and the castle at the top if this is your first time to the city. Enjoy!

Right On, Josh! I’m 83, and the things I regret most are the things I didn’t do, or the decisions I didn’t make. Now it too late.

I agree with what you're saying here, Josh, however, money is a huge factor in being able to do what you want or being able to chase your dream. I'm 55 and I want so much to learn to sail and possibly buy a sailboat like you but I have bills to pay each month (and I'm very frugal and I have basically no debt). I don't live near the beach or large body of water to be able to chase my dream. It drives me crazy but what can I do? I am a professional chef and have a catering business for over 30 years so I don't have a pension and I've had to save the money I do have on my own. I don't even have health insurance because it's so expensive. I try not to think about it. Have you looked at the cost of living lately under this moron in the White House? People are hurting everywhere. These brave heroes who stormed the beaches at Normandy 80 years ago did so to preserve our freedom but just 80 years later we have disgusting, anti American commie politicians who are slowly but surely dismantling American and what she stands for. Sadly, if the new generation doesn't get off their asses and say loud and clear, "ENOUGH!!!" we will soon not recognize America.

No politics here. Sorry. We have enough divisiveness. What about traveling to a cheap beach town in Mexico a few times a year and do some sailing there? There are ways to make it happen. Frugal is fine and no debt is good. But you also can't take your money with you after you die. Lots of people die with a lot of money they've saved. I guess maybe it's for their kids, but my point is we can't take it with us.

@@JoshPostVlogs just telling it like it is. Politics and politicians are what got this country in the piss poor shape it's in now. It is affecting everyone in a real way brother. You can't hide from it and you better pick a side because that's what it's coming to. Don't kid yourself. These leftist A-holes are the ones screwing up this whole country. It directly affects the amount of our hard earned money that we keep in our pockets.
