Passing the CPA exams is when you study hard, if you can't study or you don't have time for your studies I'd advise you get yourself a help like Mr Dylan.

I don’t know how honestly you can answer this since your company might see, but if you could go back in time, would you still choose accounting? Do you see a long term financial gain from this career? Or just getting by?

Should one go into accounting before getting into investment banking and any buy-side finance role, should one be considering accounting if he can't afford to go for an MBA or even a master's in finance?
@leoxlsb7 ай бұрын
if you want to go into banking, I highly suggest finding an ib internship during college and recruiting for full time offers after
@leoxlsb7 ай бұрын
accounting would be a waste of time and difficult to break into ib afterwards
@prathamrana84337 ай бұрын
@@leoxlsb Look, one can't easily get IB internships and I see many I-Bankers have experience in accounting as it helps them. Many of them are CPAs in the Big 4 then do Master's in Finance and then break into IB. Doesn't that make sense to you?
@prathamrana84337 ай бұрын
@@leoxlsb What if I was pursuing a Master's in accounting STEM degree to keep my ass in the US, because then only I can have the 3-year work visa, and it is an assured placement program. Doing CPA along with accounting can help me to land in Mergers and Acquisitions and then in the front-end office of IB,?

Would love to know more about the type of leadership conferences you attended? We’re they strictly accounting industry conferences?
@leoxlsb2 ай бұрын
They were company specific leadership conferences. So you would apply to them freshman/sophomore year like an internship but the conference is only for 2-3 days and they typically give you an internship offer after. Its also a great resume booster to apply for internships the following year

Yeah 20-30 hrs when its not busy on average, theres slower days for sure tho. There is 2 weeks of PTO and also 2 separate firm shutdown (holiday) weeks at big4
