All airport security staff worldwide should be made to visit Copenhagen (Kastrup) Airport as part of their training to see how the job should be done. It’s an absolute pleasure to go through Security there, the staff are polite, friendly, helpful, interact with kids and are very efficient.

New UK viewer here. Pleased you had fun in London. Battersea Power station is cool space to hang out. Some very nice but crazy expensive apartments round there! 7 figure cupboards....studio apartments! 😬 Just a note that the UK doesn't use Euro's and never had. Just pounds and pence. Something you may like is all UK airports are meant to use the new 3D security scanners by June. Some UK airports have these already which means no removing liquids or electronics to pass security and you can carry up to 2 litres of individual liquids. Not sure if US airports are going to do the same?

Yes, thank you correcting me! I used my debit card for all of my purchases but forgot it’s the pound and not euro. Still learning all the different currencies haha. US airports don’t have a liquid amount limit anymore, you liquid bottles just have to be 3.4 oz or under

Borough Market is expensive - there are lots of places round there to eat more cheaply and have a seat too! If you walk from there down to the river bank (Bankside) you can go all the way down to Westminster Bridge and Big Ben and take in the sights (The replica of Shakespeare's Globe theatre is very near to where you filmed). It was -7 degrees Celsius in my garden when I went outside this morning, so you had a lucky escape with the weather!

UK airport security, applies rules to everyone equally, it doesn’t matter if you are an economy passenger or travelling first class as some celebrities have found out. Hi Hannah. Great video, but very eye-opening about the 'black book' held by security staff in London. A quick question though - I fly BA and American very regularly to and from London and Philly. Why do AA flight attendants get so angry with me when I try to do stretches at the back of the plane next to the toilets (I have a back problem and can't sit for hours at a time)? The BA staff never ever seem bothered as long as I don't get in their way, but AA staff always tell me that I'm not allowed to 'linger' back there and I either have to use the toilet or go back to my seat.

So happy that you worked with a great crew! I am not a FA ,but absolutely hate going through LHR. The last time I went through was this past October, a few days after what happened in Israel, & security was understandably worse than before. But it was so annoying, because the agents didn't have enough scanners / equipment at their spots,so spent an inordinate amount of time looking for supplies! Like why wasn't each area outfitted with proper equipment. And these employees were taking their sweet time looking for equipment, they could care less that some of us may miss their flights!!! I didn't miss my flight to Boston, but the gates were closing pretty soon after we got there. Never again! I will avoid LHR at all costs from now on!!!

Let your flight attendants know when you get on board that you get a little anxious when you fly. Most will come and check on you throughout the flight to make sure you’re doing okay! If turbulence is part of your uneasiness pick a seat toward the front of the aircraft. It’s usually a lot less bumpy in the front than the back.

Glad you had a good trip. Now you need to go to Munich to make up for the disaster the last time you tried to go 😅

I know! That one I’ve been keeping my eye out for but it’s a little harder to get. Hopefully soon!

Looks like my favorite 777 to me . As a 200K mile per year on your airline I appreciate your comments on super senior crew. From a passenger point of view sometimes you get the crew members that are very grumpy, seem to do the bare minimum and you might see them briefly again right before landing. Your employer though seems to be doing something about it especially on the Charlotte and Boston routes to LHR. Most crews seem really nice. Hope you get to go to London more often. BTW now not in Europe.

Can't believe you don't get at least one day off after a longhaul flight. Crew working for various UK airlines get at least 2 days off after a flight back from the US (east coast) and 3 days off for west coast. Also you'll be pleased to know that the liquid rule will soon be a thing of the past at UK airports. London City Airport passengers and crew can now take any size liquids in their hand luggage without them needing to be in a plastic bag thanks to new technology in the scanners which will be rolled out to other UK airports in the near future!

I had heard about the liquid policy changing there! That’s exciting! We used to get transatlantic trips with multiple day layovers but since Covid I haven’t seen any in Charlotte. Hopefully they will make their way back into the mix soon!

Glad you enjoyed your trip to the UK, yes, unfortunately British airports are run by sadists who get a thrill from treating their paying customers in a poor manner so don’t expect any better for the workers. Maybe on another trip you’ll have time to get out of London. England, Wales and Scotland have lots of stunningly beautiful places to see but I guess it’s tricky when you’re on a flying stopover.

Yes I would love to be able to do that! Any suggestions of things to do there?
