Life of an Introvert - Short film

Hello everyone, my name is Hiyu and i'm living in Germany. I'm an Introvert. I made this video to share with you how it's like as an introvert. The media portrays introverts as lonely loosers suffering from endless depression. Many people believe that a day of an introvert is boring and lifeless, but it doesn't necessarily have to be like that. Sure i don't have friends, but what happen in my mind can keep me busy all day. The same problem here - me in the middle of a legion of extraverts(in my school) and i am just sitting or standing there alone and most of my friends and acquaintances just feel sorry for me, but for me, it's a time to recharge my battery and to get some fresh air.

I can really sympathize with you, ever since I start college. Most of my time became like this. Eating Alone, working out alone, studying alone, Watching movies alone, going to the mall alone and going to school alone.

I'm an introvert. I have friends but limited and if i dont feel comfortable to a person i dont push myself to make friend with him/her, even to my husband's family. Id rather be alone than to be with people who think im not good enough, who put me down and says bad about me or judge me.

When I first saw this video, I was so hesitant to watch it. What if it was some kind of stuff that I‘m not keen of. But then the slow beat of music got me right into it. The daily life, the camera angle that was placed very nicely or the color in it. Yes, the color of his life. I love how his red hoodies stood out in all scenes. It’s so beautiful, a perspective about this boring life that I have never seen. So fresh and new but yet so familiar. And so relatable. It hits me right at the *kokoro*

That's not introversion. no one becomes an introvert when they lost their freind. loosing a friend is normal but you cant just become an introvert to cover up you fragility.I advice you make that loss a part of your experience and dont use introversion as an excuse to shut people down.just better yourself.

I actually like this...this is true tbh, it’s just me my best buddy which is my dog named Peewee and my games, cause my dog understands me and he doesn’t need to talk he just smiles at me and wags his tail then watches TV with me or chills with me when I’m playing my games, solitude is the best when you don’t need to talk to anyone or be crowded, you get the most energy out of everything. It’s like you have the power of the gods, no worries and no anxious feeling or anxieties.

Lets correct the beginning here... We dont rise and then calmly turn off the alarm. We randomly reach about until grasping such an obnoxious sounding tool which dare interrupts our slumber.

I relate to almost all of this video. I'm still unsure about the need vs. lack of need for friends. I have a good group of friends and I definitely get by pretty well WITHOUT seeing them often. But I think hanging with friends (specifically one on one) makes me a bit more 'loose' overall. When I'm by myself for long periods of time, I feel fine, but there's a tension when I am about to encounter a social situation. If I have recently met with a friend, I am less tense when encountering social situations. I feel like it's EASIER to live like that since in society we inevitably encounter social situations. Also meeting with my friends individually is a good chance to hear that someone else has the same thoughts as me and preferences for Hobbit-style life. It almost justifies that my behaviours aren't wrong/weird. They bring me joy and relaxation as much as they do for some others. I'd like to know the experience of having no friends just to see how I think of it. I think I'm too convinced by psychological research that social connections are positively related to well-being. Maybe it's just different for some introverts

I'm an introvert but I don't like the feeling of loneliness. I walk into a room full of people and I always feel I'm the odd one out. People in little groups chatting freely. I dread the thought of going up to people to chat; the thought of it makes me shudder. But I get embarrassed when everybody in the room notices that I'm the only one on my own and they probably realise there must be something terribly wrong with me. Why am I always the odd one out in a room full of so many people? Why does no one ever talk to me and why is it easy for them to talk to others. Surely I can't be the only introvert in the room. I feel like all these eyes are staring at me. Pointing and laughing at the loner me. I leave the room hyperventilating and burning from the inside out. I hide it well though, and smile as I walk past strangers. I'm an introvert but I don't like the feeling of loneliness 😢
