I'm surprised to learn that signature dishes in our cuisine is same as that of Himachali-Jammu region with minor differences. One must have deep understanding of Sindhu-Saraswati Civilization's culture to speak about Indian culture. Let's see so called cultural differences now. **Languages: Almost 78% of Indians speak languages that are derived from Sanskrit. Southern Indian languages have 60-80% vocabularies derived from Sanskrit. And almost all languages except Urdu uses scripts derived from Indian Brahmi script. **Indian Classical Music: There are two styles of classical music namely Karnatik and Hindustani. Though they have few differences both of them trace their origin to Samaveda. Both of them have same Ragas with different names. Both developed and popularized by Hindu saints during Bhakti movement. **Indian Classical Dance: India has 8 classical dance forms originated at different corners of Indian subconinent. But "Natya Shastra" written by Bharata Muni is fundamental book for all of them. A detailed commentary was written by Sri Abhinava Guptapada of Kashmir. All these Classical dance forms use hindu puranic stories as themes. **Ancient Sanskrit drama with 2000+ years of history survives in southernmost state of India i.e Kerala. Ancient Hindu epics namely Ramayana and Mahabharata can be performed through 10s of different artfotms like Bharata Natyam, Kuchipudi, Kathakkali, Kathak, Mohini Attam, Odissi, Manipuri, Sattriya, Yakshagana, Kudiyattam etc. Infact it's because of Ramayana and Mahabharata these art forms became so popular and survives to this day. **The diversity is just superficial. If one digs deep then he will get to know that how deeply people are connected by culture. Culture of those who follow Abrahamic civilization differs from us who are proud progeny of continuous Sindhu-Saraswati Civilization and inherits cultural ethos from our great ancestors despite of strong attrmpts by outsiders to disconnect us from our root.

I visited Gilgit Baltistan in winter of 2021 and they are very nice and peace loving people. In the Baltistan region, it is the Balti language that is spoken and it is also a Tibetan language. In other parts, Shina, Wakhi and Burushaski is also spoken. Gilgit Baltistan is a land of lingusitic and natural beauty

I was in this area about 15 years back. Drove there with business associates from Islamabad by car. One of the more pristine area of Pakistan. Clean, hardly any pollution. I was stressed (job related) when I went there but became totally relaxed. Quietness, rest, good food, clean air, super friendly people. No city-buzz. It was almost like a healing experience. Totally different from my Karachi experience before. In the mountains I remember I drank water from some stream in the woods and I didn't get sick or anything. I hope it doesn't get polluted. Driving back to Islamabad airport I felt like I am missing this region already. Great experience!

Feeling nostalgic by viewing these places again. Guess now the tourists are allowed only upto Tyakshi. I was fortunate to visit upto Thang 2 years back until the border wherein the actual line of control can be seen demarking the banks of Shyok river too. Baltic food was good and so are the people living here especially in Turtuk. Thanks for sharing this.
