You captured something I experienced after coming home from desert Storm and tying a special fly for a river I fished Steelhead for in Northern Michigan. I gave it to a friend who gave it to a friend who gave it to a friend and about the 6th friend later was given it back and asked to tie up a dozen. Its still in one of my fly boxes up there in Michigan hanging out with about a dozen other flies that hold a special place in my memories.

This hits on so many levels. An homage to the inshore fly fishing world and also an homage to my hometown of St. Augustine. People only think of Florida as beaches and... the other b that goes along with that but this captured the heart of Florida as well. My heritage comes from a small town off 207 called Elkton. Blink and you'll miss it. Seeing him grab feathers from a coop to tie the fly truly captures the essence of old Florida; the land and the water. I've watched this more times than I can count and it never gets old. Great job!

I started tying flies again after a few years hiatus and I can remember creating an offshore fly for dolphin. This video brought back so many wonderful memories of my charter days as an offshore Captain. I can remember sending that fly out for the first time and seeing that bull dolphin slam it. I was so proud when The Fly Shop in Lauderale began selling them. Your video, the music, the way in which it flows is amazing. It's definitely the motivation I needed to seriously find a flats boat and get back doing what I loved so much. Thanks! I never realized I missed it so much. Tight lines!!
