Camilla Johansson and they are. At the ending of the video (11:42), you can clearly see a few cows in the background on green grass next to a fence. They only go inside to be fed and milked.

@@matthewcrossman980 it's not better. once you get more than a 100 cows, it's harder to let them out of the barn and then you have to use antibiotics regularly and hormones to keep their muscles from wasting. It's more expensive to farm that way, especially since you have to buy feed instead of feeding them on grass and sileage. Canadian farmers don't get subsidies. They couldn't afford to operate that way but none of those additives are allowed in our milk anyways.

I grew up on a *Farm/Dairy Farm* and I never got used to cows who gave their all only to be slaughtered if they don't conceive in order to produce milk. Its like she means nothing and has done nothing for the Dairy Farmer to make a living. You profit financially from the cows but when they are wore out by calving every year and she cannot produce enough they are thrown away and killed. It seems at the very least she can live out her days being out on pasture grazing and protected from the elements and cared for in the way these animals deserve. Also cutting their tails is cruel. That is how they protect themselves from pesky flies.

I didn't. It seems you just like to ramble. I bet you love hearing yourself talk while others around you *Roll their Eyes* at the *loud Mouth Clown* who thinks its *Clever*. Here something you should think about: If you can engage your *Brain*. *IT IS BETTER FOR YOU TO REMAIN SILENT AND BE THOUGHT A FOOLISH IDIOT*, *THAN TO OPEN YOUR MOUTH AND REMOVE ALL DOUBT*. :) *MOVING ON* *:* Just what do you mean by *P*ssy Farmer*? I take it you mean that because I don't believe in *Punching calves*, *Hitting Cows*, *Abusing them*, *Torturing them* and *Neglecting them that it makes me a *Cry Baby*???? Oh that's *Rich*. LOL you truly have *serious mental issues* that need to be addressed and the *IQ of a FORK*. Perhaps you injured your *Cranium* against a *Brick Wall* while you were having one of your *Foaming at the Mouth Temper Tantrum* moments. I find your *Juvenile Rhetoric* amusing. *Sad* and *Pathetic but amusing nonetheless* . LOL You're not a *Farmer* or a *Cattle Wrangler* or a *Dairy Farmer*. How do I know? Because *Farmers* and *Cattle Wranglers* & *Dairy Farmers* have manners which you lack. Sadly your parents *Big Bertha and Jethro* failed you miserably. You're just a *Punk* who resides in your parents *Double Wide* eating *Bugles* all day attacking people online like a *2 year old nose picker*. I believe that you used to be the *Fat Boy* who sat in the back of the classroom *Eating Paste* and you probably still are. Again you know nothing about *Agriculture*. Get off the internet and go play with your *Stamp Collection Goober*. Bye now. and by the way I can speak several languages. Writing it out, not so much but I will master it. I understand the views of some, after they see video of a calf being taken away from its mother. I viewed one video where the mother and calf were literally crying out for eachother, when the farmer carted the calf away to the "nursery." As he loaded the limp newborn, you could see the concern from the mother. Yes, it was heartbreaking. And it is fair to question whether that type of treatment is humane. It's obvious that you can nurse the calf while it remains with the mother. But these farms are centered to maximize profits, by putting the mother back into the milking parlor rotation as soon as possible. This is all part of an age old process. As terrible as that sounds, I really don't think the consumer cares. And I don't know that they should. Getting animal goods to the consumer has never been pretty. The "horror" stories are in abundance. Do we give up meat or milk and its byproducts? Probably not anytime in the near or distant future.

many farms in Canada have open farm days. I'm sure most countries do. It's important for people to know where their food comes from. Not all farms are like this. some actually are huge factory farms but many are smaller than this in the US...just 50 cows...and they sell to cooperative dairies.

I get you think it’s cruel but in the end they always get reunited

They are milked in the morning after they wake up and are free all day. Then return in the evening, milked and bed down. Most farmers love and worry and do everything they can for their animals. Let me ask how often do your animals Even seen the light of day? These animals are sentient beings, and are they are treated like products not animals that are breathing with life? Would you like to sleep and stand on concrete? Would you enjoy having your food tossed in your face when you were hungry. Factory farming and animal agriculture strips away the life that these animals have and it forces them to create life when they don’t make that choice. These animals are not things sir... this is depressing and I am sure this is a highly rated facility. It’s better hear than most but wow...people do not have empathy. Milking isn’t natural milk is made from mothers for the babies. The only milk we need are our own mothers milk. Imagine being knocked up your whole Life for profit... this fucking disgusting. Farm all you want, but look at the sludge left on the ground that they stand in. It’s rips away their right to choose. They are violated when you pry them open and put sperm in them. We would not do that to people( why did we do we do this to them? You all seem like great people but listen to this....separate them from their mother????
