Hi Gen! New biggest fan, subscriber! Jarrod is correct, why are you not sponsored?! Your impression of GoFund as “charity” is not up to date ‘22. You have to think of it as NIL, these ppl sending money as just “fans” of YT. Think of them as sponsors, corps, biz,… that pay to use their products, associated w them… Maybe copy other influencers on YT, IG,… have paid sponsors for shoes, club, bags, clothing, range finders, hats,… and that’s just golf. But could include meals on the go, air bnb, airlines, car rental, pretty much every detail of your life that you have to plan/pay for every tourney could be “sponsored”. Granted you’re not Tiger Woods w huge deals but I’m sure to get comped week at air bnb or airline tix for short promo on YT would help out?! Def need PR or agent?!

@@greglist2991 I owe my knowledge if Gen to Golf Sidekick. I clicked on his video 2 years ago, where 'a four-handicapper plays a lady pro...'. At one point, Sidekick asked how Gen maintained her sunny disposition. Her answer was typically Gen...and I was hooked. I subbed when she had less than 15k subs... Kicked in for her trip to the US...and remain a huge fan. I always tell her that if I knew her when I started golf she'd have shaved 10 strokes off my score. I still believe that.

@@gaoxinglangblog duh obvi! Completely misses the point. Gen don’t pay attention. My point is even though your not top 150, you can make decent amount off your NIL. I look at other influencers of social media ie YT, IG,... even college athletes, some high school. Again these aren’t groundbreaking Tiger type amounts. But I can see a reasonable goal is 50-100K/year which would pay for travel expenses, Q-school... and every little counts cuz when you worry about every dollar that will affect your play. Do I think she can get to LPGA, yes, just needs to run hot at right time.

@@gaoxinglangblog She is good enough to compete. A lot of her issues are physical, in that she has to travel longer distances which takes its toll on the body. Literally. I think Genevieve should relocate to Europe and possibly befriend another LET player to split living expenses. I know that’s hard because of the competitive nature between players but it’s possible. Her play is good enough, she just needs to get on a roll to give her the confidence that “she belongs”…

Gen! You are NOT asking for charity. You take time and effort to post many videos. And majority of these videos have good golf instruction, much of what most folks would pay $80+US/hr for. So we get a glimpse into your lifestyle and golf instruction for free. The monies people choose to send you are, IMO, a fair trade for services rendered. You keep doing what you do and do not assume you are asking for handouts. This is how commerce is done in the technical era. :-)

I've often wondered if people who were born in, and wake up every day in a place like Switzerland, realize they are literally in one of the most beautiful places on earth. Fantastic video Gen. I watch the LPGA every week and I now realise it's not all swimming pools and resorts for most golfers. I'm from Australia and I follow Minjee Lee who's number 5 in the world and if she has a disastrous week still makes thousands of U.S. Dollars. It's now clear to me what a struggle it can be for people like yourself. I love your videos and I hope you make the big time one day soon.

Totally agree with you Martin, she seems to be heading in the right direction, I am from Australia also and we have Karrie Webb as a member of our golf club and have followed her career since she was an amateur in 94 and have seen all the hard work that she put in to win 7 majors. Gen is , with the help of her Dad making Hugh progress this year without any financial help at all. Good luck for the rest of the year.

Thanks for the link, Gen! It occurred to me that I owe you for at least one swing lesson, and maybe a course management lesson, now I think on it. That 9 o'clock swing dialed my shot right in, with just a baby draw on it. I put the target directly past my lead(left) shoulder at setup. Shortening the swing that much only cost me 20yds! Unbelievable. All that accuracy while sacrificing so little distance.
