This is so reminiscent of Slowdive, but somehow sets itself very far apart with these heavy backing guitar and bass waves. To be honest its very, very good material, but the problem with our current trend of Shoegaze revival groups is that they are all very heavily influenced by the very few that actually "made it" that came before them so direct comparisons aren't usually far behind every new band that springs up. Its almost ubiquitous by this point that the genre has certainly surged forward, but they're are some fans who are still very reliant on that older shoegaze "tone." Their is something very enchanting about that post 80's, crinkly, distorted and echo chambered sound. Of course lets not forget another group that rose up and quickly fizzled out "Pinkshinyultrablast" who arguably made some straight up amazing songs.
