Socrates is so important that the philosophers before him are called the pre-socratics. His emphasis on knowledge, wisdom and questioning is very profound but I don't like how he glorifies death at the end, that's so life denying.

Debate between Socrates and the person about gods is more monotheist ( Socrate) and polytheist than atheist vs polytheist. Imam Al Ghazali has claimed him to be the first monotheist philosopher in Greece.... Wallahu Aalam.

You are using Socrates in your religion's favor. Well If Socrates was alive, he would've proved your religion wrong too by his questions. He would have asked you that you claim that God knows everything but in Quraan he mentions that sperm comes from between backbone and ribs but science says it doesn't come from ribs or backbone. Hence proved either science is wrong or Allah doesn't know everything...

It's amazing that Socrates remained unafraid of death because he knew that soul is immortal and cannot be destroyed. How he gained this knowledge must be found. Sheer argument cannot reach such a conclusion. Argument is a two way sword, opposite facts can be proved true, if the debater is skillful.
