Really does get at the heart of it. Blissful ignorance is something some people just can't force themselves into

To deal with the monotony of ignorant people which dominate this modality of life we exist in at this time, I meditate, lol. Seriously, it helps to employ aspects of the Stoic philosophy. Practice turning off the internal dialogue. Place your "words" in your right hand and your "emotions" in your left. Understand these are tools, but tools with the ability to control us if we don't control them. Anyway, this is my contribution since the video asked for one :) This is how I deal, plus some. Thanks for the vid, even tho I'm completely late in watching it.

i have an iq of 145. introvert... live kinda normal. but people gravitate away from me everytime i start sharing my thoughts... life of an outcast..

Although I don't know my iq, or if i should be considered a intelligent person, i do share the same pain, the more i open up about what I want to express, the more people stray away. Its almost as if i have to act dumb and act like a different person just to establish connections.

@@junebug2850maybe you should act dumber/humorous to gain connections/friendships but when it comes to an interesting topic you shouldn't hold back (depending if the context of the conversation warrants going deep into complex thought) Otherwise you sound like a nerd who is always trying to prove something and is basing their entire personality off being right instead of being fun and friendly

@@Danny.Duns1 I usually have to put on a different personality to gain some rapport with people because the people around me and that i come across online mostly don't care to have a intellectual conversation. They talk about the same menial things over and over just with different context, like drama, gossip, stupid shows, or what happened at the club last weekend or who is the new attractive person at work. I like talking about things that actually make me think, all of that doesn't. Stuff like politics, events going on in the world or nationally, philosophical things, controversial topics past and present, a lot of history with war and past nations and leaders, stuff like that. But everytime i attemp to speak to one of my friends about stuff like this, they go "uuhhh shit ahaha idk" 🤷‍♀️ And goes back to talking about work, drama or another menial thing. Not to mention i refuse to smoke, drink, or go clubbing or partying. Its almost impossible to have an intellectual conversation nowadays with anyone, i have better intellectual conversations with myself than with my family and friends. So i guess i'll follow your advice and dumb myself down for the sake of making and keeping connections and to also not sound like a nerd trying to be a smartass while being more humorous.

@@junebug2850 Sorry, let me rephrase what I meant. I don't mean to dumb yourself down for all social situations but instead you wouldn't need to express yourself with an intellectual topic with everyone you speak to, (unless that's something you want to, in that case it sounds like you need a smarter group of friends/people to talk with) also, you could try and orchestrate impulsive scenarios (Like "oh something just happened, time to drag/throw one of my friends around") This is just one way how my friends and I get along, I don't know what you're like off this app, if you're crazy/impulsive like I'm saying, if you're not like this and you all of a sudden start acting like this it'll seem a little strange and off-putting (less so if you really are more like this) So I suggest try opening up more before you start anything like I said And to emphasize what I said before about intelligent conversations, it just sounds like you need another, more intelligent, friend group that you could sit down with and have deep conversations with

I have not come across the experience others talk about of loneliness or sadness through introspection and analysis of the world and how I interact with it. Quite the opposite I believe doing so aids greatly in one's life and, for me, has greatly improved my empathy towards others. An ex of mine told me once that people are often afraid to be left alone with their thoughts and with further questioning I have found others to hold the same opinion. I am intrigued as to why my experience is different. Lol I guess youtube isn't really the place for discord but if anyone wants to share their negative experience then I would be interested, with the hope for mutual benefit.

Very ‘man’ focused lots of men on the screen lots of references about ‘if a man’ I know these are quotes etc and it’s down to history forcing women out of said circles through sexism, but as a female who searched this video of my own free will because I feel alone, this video didn’t help sadly. Just made me feel more alone if anything.

I am sorry to hear that we fell short here. These are easy details to overlook as a man, I will definitely pay more attention to incorporating more perspectives in these videos. Hopefully, we can make something that helps you in the future.
