Hw Transportation : It is the process by which materials like food,water and minerals are transported from the soil to the other parts of the trees/plants. Xylem: Parts- parenchyma,vessels, trachieds and fibres. It helps in the transportation of water, minerals . Trachieds & vessels provides mechanical support Phloem: Parts-sieve tubes , companion cells It helps in transporting the food materials like glucose. Sieve tube carry the glucose Companion cells will metabolise the glucose. Rly loved ur session mam!❤

HOMEWORK COMPLETED MAM 🔥🔥🔥 MY NAME IS DHAKSHAN 1.XYLEM * It is a type of complex tissue present in plants, that primarily transports water & nutrients from roots to stem and the leaves. *They are responsible for providing mechanical strength to plants. *Xylem is composed of four different kinds of elements: Tracheids, Vessels, Xylem Fibers, and Xylem Fibers. PHLOEM: *Phloem is one of the two types of vascular tissue in plants. It transports food formed in the leaves to the other parts of the plants. *Components of Phloem : Phloem parenchyma, Phloem fibre, Sieve tubes and Companion cell *Except for phloem fibres, phloem cells are all living cells. *Phloem transports food in both directions. Sieve tubes and companion cells present in phloem are involved in translocation of organic substances. Why is transpiration important for plants? Transpiration is important because: a) It helps in the absorption and upward movement of water and minerals from roots to leaves. b) It prevents the plant parts from heating up as the water released provides a cooling effect on the plant. *Transportation occurs in three levels in the case of plants: Transportation of substance from one cell to another. Long-Distance transport of sap within phloem and xylem. The release and uptake of solute and water by individual cells.
