Life purpose - what is it and how to fulfill it? I Mohanji

Mohanji answers the question of how to fulfill one's purpose in everyday life. He explains the role of karma in determining the pattern of one's incarnation, and how the chronology works from impressions to inclinations (or character traits) to thoughts to actions to experiences and memories, feeding back into impressions. He gently points out the limitations of the mind and encourages the seeker to contemplate on the "I' aspect of the question; rather on the existential question of "Who am I". A shift in awareness and a stronger connection to oneself would help one glide through life more easily.

Dear Kam, thanks for your query. Mohanji says that when you are deeply connected to one Master, your future wellbeing (in the spiritual sense) becomes the responsibility of the Master. They will take care of your spiritual progress through lifetimes. Naam jap can be one way of connecting to your Master and integrating into the Master's Consciousness. Manifesting something into your life is a different matter, and is usually connected to material wellbeing. This is connected to desire and eligibilty. When we desire something deeply, the Universe tries to make it happen. However the question of when it will become manifested will depend on eligibility. In his book The Power of Purity, Mohanji has given examples of how a woman with many children in one life may desire very strongly not to have (any more) children. This becomes a reality for her in a subsequent birth where she has no children and desperately desires to have them. And so the cycle continues... We must be very mindful that when we have intense desires of a material nature, what we are doing is creating more karma for ourselves, and more lifetimes of birth and death. Dear friend, thank you for watching Mohanji's videos and for expressing your curiosity on the topic of incarnation. You will hopefully understand that this is a topic that which we can discuss only in a limited way at our level of awareness and evolution. Mohanji says that, as long as we carry seeds of inclinations, we will continue to incarnate, to complete our karma. Hence, it is not really a choice whether to incarnate or not. The only beings who have this choice are elevated Masters, who return to earth by choice, to help beings on earth to elevate their frequency. In terms of your question on destiny, Mohanji tells us that souls have a choice to choose which of their remaining karma they will play out in the next birth, prior to being born. That being the case, it might be difficult for an astrologer to predict the person's future incarnation while they are in their current body. Thank you for clarifying your question. Through history, astrologers have predicted peoples' future, with varying degrees of success. A famous correct prediction, as the tales tell us, is the horoscope calculated at Gautama's birth, which prophesized that he would be either a great emperor or a renunciate. Our question to you would be, what would you hope to achieve with having your future told? If the predicted future is something good, you would be living in expectation, whereas if something negative is predicted, you would live in dread. Either way, you would not be living in the present, living every moment to your full capacity. Dear friend, if you don't mind us making a suggestion, it may be more helpful for you to practise raising your awareness levels with self acceptance, loving unconditionally and serving selflessly, rather than worrying about what your future holds. Dear Shreya, We appreciate your desire to get out of confusion. It is not about speaking and pronouns, it is about our attitude. We have to use our language as it is, and at the same time be aware who we truly are, that we are beyond our positions, possessions, relations and everything related to personality. As for the children, they sometimes try to manipulate to have their own way and you as a parent can recognise that and not allow it. @sai ram, all these are relative happenings, in that they are all temporary. The only constant is the Supreme Consciousness, the formless Parabrahma. In Mohanji's words, the Unit (the 'I') has to expand to reach the Universe. The main task that we have as humans is to integrate all our scattered senses and mind to realise the self (become a Unit). Mohanji says that the expansion from the Unit to the Universe happens spontaneously. Hope that clarifies your doubt. With love, Team Mohanji.
