Life can be so crappy at times. I've struggled with depression for years so I get it. Keep focusing on yourself and try to do more things you love. Art, reading, working out/being active, and don't forget to reach out and talk to people close to you! Sometimes just getting it off your chest and having someone to process things with really does help!

Hi Jenny, I have suffered from anxiety and depression for well over 30 years. My biggest advice is to unplug yourself from your phone, tv, social media, movies etc. The more time spent not focusing on digital entertainment and focusing time on other hobbies really helps clear my mind. Getting out into nature. Even something simple like taking a walk or sitting outside and watching life around you really helps me. I used to hate bugs but have found just sitting outside watching butterflies or even ants living their lives puts my life at ease. I also enjoy journaling. I have a gratitude journal which I write any positive moments throughout my day. I've noticed that the more I am in a state of gratitude the more I will attract things to be grateful for. Talking more positively instead of negatively. I also have a journal full of inspiration quotes. I just wrote this one in it today "We are more often frightened than hurt; and we suffer more from imagination than reality" We have no power over which thoughts enter our mind, but we DO have the power over what we decide to do with those thoughts. Focus on what you can control and forget about what you can't. I hope this helps! Stay strong and always remember that tomorrow is a new day, when you wake up tell yourself it will be a good one!

Thank you so much for taking the time to reach out to a stranger on the internet and offering your advice! I really do need to take more breaks from technology and spend more time in nature or reading. It really is helpful to hear from other people that have struggled and what helps them. I used to journal all the time when I was still in school and should really try starting that now. Again, thank you so much for your kind words ❤
