This is what I enjoy the most about this channel you have built. The honesty of being human and how you balance your work and family life provides inspiration for others struggling similarly.

You are an inspiration, the negative and the positive are things that have happened to me and I didn't take the time to grieve (terrible idea). Your ability to take the time to grieve and also the amazing adoption of your son is stuff that we should take the time to work through/experience fully. We only live once.

I'm so sorry to hear about your losses Seth. Making space for grief is so important, but also not easy.

I'm sorry you've gone through two such hard things so close together. I lost both my parents a couple of years ago, and I'm still not fully over it. I basically did what you did and just carried on with life and tried to stay busy, because that does work. I will say just be careful not to overdo it, and listen to what you need. I changed a lot in the past two years, so I expect you'll find your writing changes a bit as well. That's normal as death is a major life experience that can really change your POV in odd ways that you wouldn't think it would.

Thank you. It has been, and continues to be, a process.

If this persists, I personally had a great experience with Talk Space on line therapy. I chose the text version, and could text my therapist anytime, 5 days a week. It was way better than face to face therapy had been, had zero stress, and I was hooked up with a great therapist in just a day. I hope for your happiness to flow.

Plus Anne Rice processed most of her feelings through her writing as well.
