If you not using spell binder build it be best to equip the green pearl curios. When you revive it gives full health mana and stamina. In combo with the full gourd brew and life saving strand it makes non spell binder even more OP

I’ve used this for toughest bosses which are not that many in NG+++. One time I got revived 4 times or more due to that chance of the spell does not expended. I was able to use stone monkey 4 times on top of it. If you are going to use the remigration pill, just make sure you use after the first transformation of azure dome completed. If you take it before, it may not be effective.

There is also a drink that will be consumed rather than your strand, giving you a 3 life run as well. You have to plan a little ahead with it, but it has given me so many 3 life battles against Wukong.

I,ve used your help many times,thanks.I,m on NG++++, I,ve been trying for almost a week(2 hours a day)to kill the Great Sage.I had him one time,he was so close to death and I still had my Strand available.There is no way I would have lost to him and then my I got DCED with a fraction of his health left. I was floored,how could this happen? I have everything turned down.I never had dcs in any of the cycles until cycle 4. Now I can,t even get him close to death anymore. I,ve killed many bosses with your help. I,m one boss kill away from cycle 5,I,m using the Life Strand build.

Did you find the chest with full armor set in chapter 6? If not, when you start this chapter where will be hill on your right. Chest is on top of it. But to get there you need to beat the boss and unlock the cloud, then come back and search for it. It works similar to bull king's set, but longer you play - more it fits dark iron staff.

Really great video. Only one I have seen on this topic and you were really thorough. So do both you and the stone monkey get a revive or does the 10 minute timer start counting down after the first use? Obviously, I think it’s better if you use the revive than the monkey if you have to choose.

Great video - I've been using the Life Saving spell in NG+++ (as you say pretty essential) but not the mana soak - that mana regen is INSANE, thanks. Question: what is your favourite staff and armor to use with this set up? (I realise it's pretty versatile)

The fully upgraded Pilgrim set is my go to, but I'll occasionally switch Yaksha set if I want more damage or the bull set for more defense. I kind of rotate between those 3 depending on how I'm feeling or if I'm struggling with a particular fight. For my staff I've primarily been using the Stormflash Loong Staff and building up thunder damage from it.

​@Schrawgs very interesting, so much choice. The Golden Qi regen is my go-to for Erlang, but my main rig atm is the non mythical Wukong armor (from treasure chest in Ch6) with the dark iron staff. With curios and spirit I get nearly 900 defense, and the staff multiplier is crazy. Recommended. Also a v high crit and poison build with Centipede Armor/Venom Bracers gives me great dps. I'll try the pilgrim armor now, ty for your suggestions and guides. Cheers 🍻

That's awesome. I've had the spell unlocked for the longest while but never put sparks to upgrade the skills nor used it. I always thought I'd keep Pluck of Many for those crucial times when needed. Thing is Pluck of Many consumed so much Mana. Nice to know this spell doesn't use Mana allowing for more use of other spells etc. One thing I don't understand. When do or should you activate the Life-Saving Strand? At the start, middle, or towards the end of the fight when danger sets in and you see your health is near to being depleted or near to dying?

Don't know if you already know the answer, but it activates automatically when you run out of heals.

Does NG+2 and higher get harder at all? NG was quite a challenge. But in NG+1 I’m up to Chapter 5 and have absolutely wrecked every single bosses so far and I’ve done every single boss again. Can’t remember dying once the entire NG+1 play through. So when would one actually need the Life Saving Strand spell?

Yeah I'd say you'll start to notice the difficulty spike around the fourth & fifth playthrough. That's when bosses start hitting pretty hard and can end a fight pretty quickly, which is where the Life Saving Strand spell starts coming in handy

@adnanzia9167 not really. Even though it's a good game you never get the chance to really feel overpowered like WuKong even after you get all relics. You get the WuKong stance whenever you get your focus charged to 4 but that's only for one freaking minute each time. I really played through that many times to see what would change. I'm done because NG+8 will be unplayable.

Make sure you have Cycle Breaker upgraded in the skill tree. Even then, it's not guarenteed - it's only a random chance that you'll get a a second revive with it.

In NG+ the best spell u can use is spellbinder. Pop it and Just melt down all bosses 😎✌️
