Love Gobby. Piece looks pretty good - good sculpt and color. Seems it could use some shading/shadowing but could probably get it with a good spotlight setup on display. Thanks for showing it off 👍

Yes, shadows are always nice for less than optimal lighting conditions. But most shading is unnecessary if the sculpt and proper directional lighting are there. I think they are adding some shadows and darkening the skin a little to help with this on the production pieces.

Those teeth look so real! Quick question DT. If you receive a statue with a paint flaw, like a scratch or scuff mark, do you try to fix it yourself? If so, what kind of paint do you use? Or do you just let it ride?

For minor scratches I’ll just try and ignore it. I’ve sent things out before for major fixes. But it’s be nice to be able to do it myself. I need to take a crash course in statue painting.

The sculpted fabric looks great! Perhaps the mask is a very close fitting latex mask. That is the way I've always thought of it anyway. It would explain how the facial movements affect the mask, and (particularly in this bust) the "no delineation" between the mask and the eyes. Overall, another great review!
