Open your eyes man. These floods are getting worse all over the planet. A warmer climate holds more moisture. It's what the climate scientists have been warning us about. It's basic science. Where I live in the UK flooding has become a regular occurrence. What used to happen once every ten years is happening several times a year. Stop telling people everything is normal FFS.

Where do you live? I'm at Ellerbeck just nth of Cardwell and this is th worst I've seen in a wet season, over 1500mm in last 7days I've lived here 40+yrs and it's not a normal wet, I,m on a hill poor buggas down th road all houses flooded and no power for days now, it's a bad one

Was discussing it with my wife that it probably seems "not as bad" this time around here probably because we didn't lose power, etc. Lost all my fences. Blown straight over. 2019 had no power for over a week. 😳 ... my comment was mainly aimed at sensationalism, not anyone doing it tough.

Yep, wet season plus clouds seeding = this mess. Two major 'one in a hundred year' floods 5 years apart..... look at grey clouds in townsville... always have streaks through them from planes dropping silver iodine. Government acknowledges they do this now. Fnq is a major testing ground.

This happens every year with all the heavy rain and the Bruce hwy. how about instead of band aid repair those sections, why don't the state and fed governments start looking at raising and re routing the road so at least the hwy can remain open. Rocky did it all those years ago when the north was cut off from rocky. It seems to me that the state and fed governments dont care about anything north of rockhampton
