Propylene glycol-based antifreeze is slightly more expensive, but is considered non-toxic to pets and wildlife. Propylene glycol is a USDA FOOD additive.

i can remember, the good old day's on my 70s trans am checking trans fluid on the 350/400 turbo trans was easy right in the engine bay. and dropping the filter on the trans pan was easy! now they give you no room to refill, so now you half to pump it in or buy the squeeze bags for my 6r80 0r my 10r80 transmissions 🤦♂️

Just like the lifetime blinker fluid 😂😂

Yes and no. The fluid is good for the lifetime of the vehicle. Lifetime for a oem, is until warranty ends. Most people buying a new vehicle with this sales pitch, will never have the vehicle long enough to see the problems that the fluid breakdown has caused. Someone that plans on actually keeping it will change out fluids anyway.

The only lifetime fluid is windshield washer fluid as long as you don't use it up.

They say lifetime in US but Canada, UK and Australia its a 60k interval

The antifreeze you're thinking of is Peak Sierra. Its was advertised as being non-toxic and safe for pets.

I had a Ford product with a "permanently lubricated" front end. I got it to the dealer and they replaced the well worn rattling pieces and tried to charge me. it ended up in court (Federal 😁) and Here come de Judge. Not only did I win, he made them pay extra for my inconvience of the week it was in their shop! So, an $800+ bill and an extra $300 for their FALSE ADVERTISING! YEP, I brought a copy of Motor Trend, copies of the Austin paper that had their ads touting that article in the magazine and my original receipt and all my registraions while owning it. The only muscle car I ever had. 351 Cleveland and an FMX tranny . . . AND it was a convertible 😅

yep, always a play on words just like when they say something is free when in actuality the consumer pays for the free stuff through the raise in prices in the other products they sell. zerex came out with that 'stop leak' miracle antifreeze, even showed the guy in the commercial punching a hole in the container showing it stop leaking right there on the camera. But then had to back off on that product not long afterwards because it was clogging up radiators ruining them beyond repair causing core replacements and full system flush's after the damage was done to the vehicles cooling system. If it sounds too good to be true? Be VERY skeptical about it! Sure, synthetic oils do allow for longer fluid life but nothing is forever. If you hear the term "lifetime" it does not mean forever. The implied term is a misrepresented obscure meaning that may be explained in some legal form in tiny writing in a disclaimer somewhere on the packaging. ;o)
