Ah Fee Lo Fun Leung (nee Wan Bok Nale), age 84 years, of Franklin Township, NJ, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday, July 22, 2024, at JFK Edison/Hackensack Meridian Hospital, Edison, NJ.
A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, she leaves behind a legacy of resilience, love, and inspiration.
Born in Mauritius, she was a woman of remarkable strength and determination. At the tender age of 17, she went to China to pursue a career in nursing. She excelled in her studies and professional life, ultimately becoming the head nurse in the maternity department of a large city hospital in China. She eventually moved back to Mauritius with her family and was Proprietor of a General Store.
Having many hobbies, she was a great cook, delighting family and friends with her delicious dishes. Her diplomatic nature and cheerful demeanor endeared her to everyone she met, making her company cherished by young and old alike.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her cherished husband of fifty-four years, Fun Leung Lo, with who she joined hands in marriage on August 22, 1964 in Guangdong Province, China; and her son-in-law, Allen Koo.
Surviving are her three children, Caroline Lo, Youngn Chanlam and her husband, Andrew, and Yves Lo and his wife, Ah Yam Lo; three grandchildren, Kristelle and William Chanlam, and Jason Lo; and a wide circle of friends and family, especially her brothers and sisters and nieces and nephews, who will miss her dearly.
Rest in the sweetest of peace dear friend…your spirit will continue to inspire us all.
Ah Fee will lie in repose on Sunday, July 28, 2024, from 1:00-2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Wright & Ford Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 38 State Highway 31, Flemington, NJ.
A Life Celebration service will follow beginning at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home, and all are invited to bring heartfelt memories to share.
Cremation will be held privately at Somerset Hills Memorial Park Crematory with Inurnment taking place at the family plot in Mauritius at a later date.
