Yes girl. Feeling burnt out is the reality of working in the healthcare field😭 Any tips on anything that has helped you overcome this? 💕
@mikirai3 жыл бұрын
Definitely going to make a whole video dedicated to this. Here are my biggest tips: 1. Acknowledge it. If you are burnt out- say it out loud. Let yourself admit it. Embrace it. Know that you can be burnt out anytime, anywhere. I was the MOST burnt out during the first year of my career. 2. Talk about it. Usually your coworkers are the best people to talk to because they are the only ones who know exactly what it's like to be in your shoes. Almost everyone has been burnt out at one point or another so it's helpful to talk to people close to your experience level and also people with much more experience. 3. Come up with a REAL action plan. What is the real issue? Does a vacation make you feel less burnt out? Is it the JOB? Is it that you want to advance in your career but feel like you're stuck? Sometimes burn out cause be a side effect of other feelings that are built up inside. Figure out what you need to that you be back at 100%.

Take yourself time to actually rest and calm down, take walks,read, take your time witout noise, workout, take long baths, find a new hobby. Find new things to think about, that dont stress you. Have time with your friends and family - talk with them about it, to get it off of your chest.

Miki, I totally feel you! My boyfriend and I also got together early pandemic, and we're both PhD students who have at least another 4 years of the grueling research life ahead of us. I totally went through a slump in January--idk why this time in particular, perhaps because coronavirus got a lot worse and we were in even stricter of a lockdown. To be honest, I lost my motivation for everything--my research, my goals post-grad, my personal relationships. It was really hard, and I'm still working through it but things have been a little better in February so far. It's hard when life just feels so routine and there's no end in sight. The fun part of grad school and life--socializing, happy hours, random events, meeting new people, talking with coworkers regularly--was just sucked out. We just have to stay strong, and we'll get through this. I'm sure our mindsets will shift as the pandemic gets better.

Miki, You got this and I am SO glad to see you having a break after working all the time and little to no break for yourself. Take this time together and spent it with each other and I hope to see you feel better. I hope after this you can feel refreshing start again. One advice is maybe try new things, something you haven't done before, or have left off doing on something you wanted to try. And yes, working out makes me feel better and helps my body a lot, no matter how much I don't want to do it so I feel ya. I am glad you are sharing your life, because Miki we are here for you. Even if you took a break from Social Media we will still be there for you. You have given us, or at least me, very great advice and tips. But I know that Miki, you and Kevin will pulled through this. I am pretty sure you pulled through hard times before and you will once again. But both of y'all DON'T give up, you are good enough, hang in there, keep going, and keep thinking positive. Remember Trouble days don't last always. You are well more capable than you know. Trust me, your hard work will pay off. Have a great rest of the week!!!! :)

I can relate to you on so many levels 1. Wanting to be a better version of yourself 2. Wanting that enthusiasm for life back (went through that a couple months ago) 3. All or nothing mentality 4. Changing that mentality and trying small habits, I recommend ‘Atomic Habits’ by James Clear (currently on chapter 2 it’s a great read) 5. Introvert 6. Finding girlfriends is hard!!!! (Good for you for not flaking!) 8. Trying to change my morning and evening habits as well (avoiding my phone and In my case tv shows) 7. I’ve been married for 7 years and always trying to make time! 8. I too, live in the pacific north west. Moved recently and haven’t been able to go places due to the pandemic! I want to explore! 9. I’m a nurse too! Anyways, just felt a connection and wanted to let you now you’re awesome! Keep being motivated and making strides for a happier full-filled you!

I think because you guys are both always so busy, the time that you do spend together makes that moment even more memorable and important. It is very tough because it is out of your control, but even just spending a few minutes here and there throughout the week makes a difference in the long term. This is just my own personal experience, but I'm the kind of person to be okay with not talking to my love ones for a very long time. I understand that everyone has their own lives to live and they are all busy with their own things. That's why I don't hold it against them for not having as much time as they would like to. It doesn't make me love them any less because we don't spend enough time together. Instead, it's very understandable to me and I just support them until they fall back. Understand that regardless how busy a person can be, it honestly comes down to that individual to make the time out of their day to put the effort into developing a relationship. If they care about the relationship, they will find a way to put in the time. Unless a person works 24/7 and 365 a day, he has the time.

Aloha. Thank you for all of your hard work, especially at this time. I am also in healthcare (in sleep medicine) as well as living in Washington state. Oddly we as healthcare workers do not get the needed hours of sleep due to odd sleep hours. In addition, our sunlight in the PNW is decreased in the winter season - causing a cycle of depression, lacking V D, and the list goes on. The only way I can survive in a healthy state is snowboarding. I get my needed fresh air and oddly enough, I also get my sunlight up on the mountains. You both ought to try snowboarding or snowshoeing. So many people out at Crystal Mountain and all the ski resorts. I feel its the place we all socialize with our masks on, laughing and getting our needed exercise. Maybe on your next vlog, film an outdoor activity in snow of some sort. There is even cross country skiing and tubing at the Summit of Snoqualmie. Playing outside is a must, especially for us healthcare workers...

I’m so sorry that you felt so burned out and tired! That’s because you’re exhausted! I could totally relate when I was your age 2 decades ago. I lived with my boyfriend for years before we could save enough money to get married and to buy our house in CA. We were lucky that we got help from the family. I’m so proud of u2 for making it this far and u2 are so responsible and mature for your age. Do something nice with Kevin. Spend quality time together whenever you can. I know it’s hard with his crazy hours. If you don’t feel like cooking, buy take-out like Chik Fil A. My favorite too but I prefer chez pizza if I have a choice. It’s okay to complain sometimes. This pandemic drives people crazy. I went out to walk for more than 3 miles by myself today. My teenage boy constantly drives me crazy and I don’t want to get mad every time. So I took deep breathes to calm down and decided to walk. U and Kevin are very cute together. Sending you lots of hugs!加油💪!❤️🥰😘

Especially, I just came from the Philippines last February 2020 where it really affected my social interaction and even going to college. I don't know how into hiking you are, but there's always some hiking group on facebook in the pnw. I recommend finding one to make new friends.

i think i first saw your tik toks on instagram?! but i just want to say i love your content, you and kevin are one of my favourite couples on youtube and i think you’re an amazing human being! watched some of your more serious videos and i loved how transparent and vulnerable you were with your subscribers but i also really appreciate how high energy, enthusiastic and fun your videos are especially in these hard times...hope you guys have an amazing break! 💗
