LIFE UPDATE 2025

In 2018 I was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer. It was in my left breast, my lymph nodes in my neck, and had a small spot on my breastbone. The doctors were blunt, but said there were treatment options. So going from finding a lump in my breast to stage 4, fast growing cancer, I was in shock. I was told i needed to get treatment that was aggressive and needed to start immediately. I cried a lot...thinking maybe this was God's plan. I remember crying myself to sleep and woke up and looked at a picture I had of Jesus on my wall. I told him " I am not done yet, I have more to do". When I woke up, there was no more sadness, no more crying. I knew then I was going to beat this. I am not saying it was all easy, but people would tell me, you look great. I did 15 (should have been 16, but I was too weak and the numbness in my extremities was bad) of chemo, had a lumpectomy, followed by 36 rounds of radiation. But....But...with in 12 months almost to the day, I was cancer free. When the doctor told me, I thought I was in remission. He said NO, its a cure... I was a text book of how it should have gone. It was in my eyes a miracle. I know this has been long, but I guess I wanna say to your mama, ATTITUDE IS EVERYTHING. Never give up. And believe it or not, that experience, has made me a different person. God never gives us something we can't handle. Love your channel Kayla. You save me alot of $$ lol.

Im so sorry to hear that. I was diagnosed with cancer at 25, and I was pregnant with twins. I started chemo right after giving birth. After treatment for 6 months, I went into hospice. I was told I had less then 6 months. Im 45 now. Stay strong!!

Oh Kayla, I'm sending a big warm hug. My mom was diagnosed with inoperable brain cancer at 50 years old. I can relate to your feelings, it's heartbreaking! But my mom is now 75 years old and still here! She beat a very hopeless prognosis. She attributes her faith and good attitude to her miraculous recovery. Sounds like Miss Vicki has the same mindset! Kayla… I will pray for you and your mom. I’m a daughter of an 84 year old awesome single parent mother. She was diagnosed prior to turning 70 with stage 3b , aggressive , estrogen positive breast cancer and given 12 months to live. She turns 84 In two months. Our God is an amazing God. He hears our prayers. Step away if you need , but I for sure will still be here following your journey and praying for her as well, as you and your family. To Mom who is reading…never give up! You have a beautiful daughter and grandchildren who need you to fight and I pray for healing and comfort.

I told my mom the same thing after we met with a surgeon to talk about things coming up and she was feeling discouraged, and I told her that this is not it. Prayers for you and your mom. The mindset plays a huge part in any diagnosis like this. Also the overall health. I was diagnosed with stage 1 cancer this past year , went through 5 radiation treatments. Had a cat scan in November which looked good. I have another scan coming up in early February and pray it will be good. Stay strong for her and keep her fighting. Again prayers for recovery. God does listen.

Kayla my mom also had cancer, and I was only 13 when she was first diagnosed. My mom lived another 14 years, and It was hard seeing her go through that. Both of my parents have passed away after battling cancer and my sister who I am extremely close to was diagnosed with breast cancer last year, so 2024 has been really difficult. She has had 2 surgeries and will undergo her last chemo treatment in a couple of weeks and will the. Start radiation. Hoping for a much healthier new year for your family!

I pray God cover you in his loving arms. I was diagnosed in 2021 with stage 2 Rectum Cancer and if it wasn't for the goodness of the lord I don't know where I would be today. But he kept me and I can tell you today I'm Cancer free and I'm going to continue to trust him with everything that's in me.
