This video sparks JOY 😊 I love that you mentioned everyone having a different threshold, I used to think people smaller than me shouldn’t complain about their weight but then I realised people bigger than me would be thinking the same about me! We all have our comfort zone.

I started my WW journey 5 weeks ago & so far 11lb down. I was really struggling to get about without pain & I still have a long way to go, but I’m already feeling so much better. I love that can have ‘normal’ food & still be boosting my energy levels! Joy! Xx

I’m currently on WW and have lost a stone and a half thus far! the app is fantastic, keeps me on track. WW in itself has helped me establish a better relationship with food. I just love it. It’s so nice to know someone I look up to like you is loving it just as much.

I’m down 65 pounds since starting ww!!! I’ve been doing it for about 15 months. I love the app! It makes it so easy to track. I also love the connect. Everyone is so encouraging and lovely!

JOY! I love this video, you’re so positive and you’re so right it’s not all about weight! I’ve spent my teenage years and my early 20’s worrying about the number on the scales, and punishing myself for eating bad things. It takes over your life! When I fell pregnant, my relationship with food completely changed and now I eat what I want to eat when I want to eat it. I don’t binge on 3 bars of chocolate, my fridge has lots of greens and veggies in it because I like eating them! My little girl is now 4 months old and no I’m not back at my pre pregnancy weight but I want to show her that it’s okay to eat what you want, I don’t want her feeling like I did for so many years. It’s about being comfortable in your clothes! You’re amazing Louise! We need more people like you!!

Joy!! My mum does WW in Canada, and it's really worked for her. She was never obese or even considered "heavy", but she was at the point where she was uncomfortable like you said, and now she's much happier.

When I was little I used to be obsessed with going through my Mums weight watchers books and making everyone in the house guess how many points different food were! I'm happy to see that the organisation has changed with the times and is moving away from being strictly about weight loss.

I think you handled this topic so well considering what a touchy subject “dieting” can be now. I started WW a little over a month ago and I definitely struggle some days with why am I doing this to myself again with the dieting. But you’re right, it’s not really a diet. I can eat whatever I want everyday, and I do. It just teaches you that your body doesn’t need all the garbage some of us have gotten into the habit of filling it with. I also totally agree with you that we all have a threshold of happy body space and when I exceed mine, it impacted my life in a way that takes away from my overall fulfillment. Also, glad to hear that you’re in a happier place physically. And as always, your sit down chats are always a JOY 😊

So proud of your journey, thank you for sharing. Body positivity is for EVERY BODY. Wanting to do something for yourself has nothing to do with anyone else's journey. I have loved my body in every shape it has been, large, pregnant, smaller, curvy. I'm proud of my body and all it has done for me and right now I'm trying to get it a bit healthier. ❤️

It brought me so much joy to hear you say that food isn't "bad" or "good" that it's just food! I think it's so hard for us as a society to unlearn those damaging lessons we were all taught. I'm so glad you're doing so well on this journey!!! 😃❤️

Joy! You looked so fab in this video, and I wanted to let you know I think it’s great you’re promoting body positivity and healthy relationships with food. Growing up I distinctly remember hating dressing rooms and trying on clothes. I’m quite tall for a girl (now 5f 11.5 inch) and was overweight, 14-18 sizing but not by much really. I got so stressed in shopping centre dressing rooms, and felt like nothing fit right, or looked how I wanted it to which now looking back was because it didn’t fit my long frame, or I was picking sizes too small for myself. I remember I complained and my mum sat me down with my sister and said if I didn’t like it I should lose weight, and said this many times. You can imagine this gave me a really unhealthy body image and relationship with myself and food, I still struggle. I wanted to than you for putting this video out and being so honest and open about the experience you’ve had because the ways you talked about good and bad and cheating food was actually really helpful to remind not just me, but other people to challenge the ways we think.

I shared this video with my local WW facebook group. While I know a lot of it is on the basics that many members already know, I found it was a great reminder for us all. And may even help for people on the fence about joining. I love your approach to this program and I try to keep it myself. I've been at or around my goal weight for a few years now but I still go to my meetings every week. Right now I'm stuck at about 2lbs over my lifetime threshold but I find that keeping on with my meetings helps me at least not keep going back up to where I was uncomfortable again. (oh, and Joy! because of course I watched from start to finish!)

This video is giving me a lot of Joy. I’ve been with WW since January and at a different place with it at the moment, I’ve recently got into a new relationship and we’ve been enjoying nice meals out etc. It’s taken a lot for me to relax and not beat myself up about not sticking to the plan 100%. Maintaining is also a massive achievement for me and I can still live my life and do that with WW. This video has demotivated me though Louise, thanks xoxo

Also, BMI (Body Mass Index) is not an accurate representation of being with overweight because it does not take body composition into account! I would refer to any information provided by a primary care physician :)

I really admire you confidence Louise. My sister is a big girl like a 3-4x girl and she’s so confident. I’m a rather small girl- size 6-8 and I have very low confidence. It just goes to show that size doesn’t necessarily matter when it comes to body confidence

Thanks for the Joy. You talking about not thinking about things as good or bad or failures was really motivational. I definitely relate to always being hard on myself & getting myself down and giving up on weightloss. I've been working on it for a couple years now and it's slow because of ups or downs but I've lost 95 pounds and I agree that this healthier journey makes me feel better in my body and mind.

I also share your love of the WW app, it brings me so much JOY. I joined WW the same day you uploaded your last video about it, and can honestly say its been one of the best decisions I've made. I was also starting to feel out of my comfort zone with my body, and didn't want to focus so much on weight I just wanted to feel good and be healthy. I am almost at my goal now, but for the past couple months I have just been feeling so much more confident in myself and my body and honestly couldn't recommend WW enough!

Have really been struggling with WW recently, have been on and off using it for almost 2 years and today decided to start giving it another go before my graduation in July, really hoping to get somewhere with it this time. I'm 20 and have not dealt with issues with feeling I need to lose weight, so WW is something I would never have been interested but I found this very interesting to learn about! I'm excited to chat to people I know who might be interested in it about what I've learnt! Oh the joy!!

Im currently trying to get myself in a good place with food weight and wellness. I too hit my threshold at size 22 and 17.5 stone. Im enganged but dont even want to plan my wedding because i feel rubbish. Im 9lb down. But due to lifes stress ive just had a rather big meltdown and scoffed a load of biscuits and junk. Was feeling awful but tomorrows a new day right. Thanks for your little positive uplifting speech. It came at just the right time x

This was really great! Something I do look for but don’t find is people talking about being comfortable in smaller bodies, when people think you’re anorexic or underweight, even if you aren’t at all!

Joyous Joy! Today I thought I had a cheat day but when you said who are cheating you completely changed my perspective. I would never tell my little sister that she is cheating if she ate cake I would tell that she deserves it ! Tomorrow I will eat some nice salad but I will also have a lovely chocolate digestive dipped in my tea. Yum! Thank you Louise x

Thank you so much for this video!! I joined WW in January after you inspired me to as I had no confidence and felt disgusted with myself. I started off at 14st 6lbs (I gained 5 stone when I was pregnant with my LG) and I lost 1 stone just before I went on holiday. I gained 3 lbs whilst away and I’ve been struggling to properly get back into it as that 3lb gain made me feel like a massive failure. But this video has made me feel really positive, not care so thank you so much Louise ❤️

I really love how you talk about this programme, and also how weight loss fits alongside body positivity. I've lost 5.5 stone through tracking calorie intake (the same as tracking WW points really) and I don't feel like there is a place for post-weight loss bodies in body positivity, because a big tenet of it is "weight loss is bad". I've had so many new and recurring body image issues throughout my weight loss journey and really had nowhere to turn to in order to feel better about it, because everything I saw revolves around 'calorie counting is bad, diet culture is bad, weight loss is bad'. But like you say, it's about lifestyle and feeling good and making good, positive choices for your overall wellbeing, how can that be bad? I think you're doing great in making a positive lifestyle change that makes you feel better in numerous areas of your life!

Joy- I was sat on the sofa watching this, snacking on chocolate after a rather emotional day, and thought ‘sod it’. I opened the WW app for the first time in weeks, tracked my day, and cooked a healthy dinner. I can’t guarantee I will be perfect, but one day at a time. Why do I reach for chocolate when I’m upset, stressed, or tired?!

This can be such a challenging hurdle to get over as we learn healthier ways of eating. I love how much the focus is on wellness and wellbeing, in heart, mind and body, rather than good and bad food choices. This is so refreshing to hear! for the reasons you mentioned at the end of the video, I was feeling quite apprehensive about watching this, but you definitely did a great job! watching this sparked genuine joy ^^ The things you said about food just being food as well (and ‘bad’ language usage) that really hit home for me! only now, when hearing you say it, did I fully realise how true that is and I want to thank you for it! Saw a post the other day that made me think. If you have a choice between say a McDonald's and no food at all, have the McDonald's. Because it's still food and some food is better than none at all. We need to stop thinking of certain food as "bad" and think more along the lines of certain foods being better than others, but no food being wrong. No one should feel bad for eating fast food or a chocolate bar, just make the choice to have something more nutritious next time instead.

I really don’t like the idea of zero point meals. It’s difficult to know what your actual progress is weekly that way. Calories in vs calories out is how to lose weight, period. I understand this isn’t all about weight loss but... if you have a chicken salad, and weight loss is your ultimate goal, you need to be tracking that food. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I really enjoyed this video! Over the past 3 years I have become quite an active person and I really enjoy hearing about other people’s fitness journeys. You are doing great! I do feel as though (especially on Instagram) that there can be backlash when someone would like to make a healthier change or get fitter. It’s as if nobody is allowed to admit they want to change their body because otherwise a lot of people think it means that you don’t have the right to promote body positivity. We have every right as human beings to want to improve ourselves and I feel as though lots of people are made to feel guilty about that now, especially on social media!

Joy! I've been back and forth about what to do for my daughter and I. Something extreme like Medifast/Optavia (that I've had much success at in the past) or something more flexible like WW. It's good to hear about the changes with WW and how useful the App is. Thanks for sharing!

Joy! I am feeling so miserable in my weight at the moment. I don't know how much I weigh but I know my clothes dont fit and i feel uncomfortable. I keep telling myself that that bar of chocolate or that tub of ice cream is good for my mental health but really it's not because I'm just so full of self loathing at the moment. WW is something I think I could get on board with. Thank you for this informative video. Would you consider doing a what I eat in a day/week video? Think that would help people with inspiration xx

What I like about WW is that it’s all about balance - I really wanted a cheeseburger today, so I had one for lunch. But then I didn’t have chips with it, but ate vegetables as a side dish instead. I have really learned that mindless eating makes me feel bad afterwards - the feeling of beating overly full is not really nice. So I feel like I’ve learned to listen to my body a bit more and really enjoy what I’m eating. I hope you feel better about yourself soon, whichever way you choose to go to make yourself feel better ❤️

Joy! Great video. I agree with your comments about everyone having a threshold. After having two kids, I lacked the motivation to even try to be healthy. Im not big by any stretch. I'm your average size 12 ish although i allowed myself to creep up to a 14/16 and over 12 stone. I bought new size 14 jeans and 16 tops and thought I'd embrace my size. Then one day I woke up and thought 'hang on...no. This is not me. I am ready. ' I started eating better, going to the gym, using a calorie counting app and over about 6 months i slowly watched the weight drop off and my body change. Im now back to a size 12 and couldnt be happier. My weight now hovers about 10 and a half stone but that actually matters less to me than just feeling less chubby and better in my own body. I don't and never have wanted a model figure. I just wanted to feel me again! Keep going Louise. Xx

Joy! Absolutely love all of your videos and am currently with WW but only digital so don’t have the meetings. I find that when I do get a day where I go over my smart points, I do reflect back on it and think was it worth eating and often it wasn’t so it leaves me motivated to try and not go over the rest of the week. Absolutely love following your journey with WW, you are so inspiring and talk about everything so well.

Joy! I'm doing Scottish Slimmers and it sounds very similar. I've had great success with it, losing about 2 stones. Definitely agree that it is about how you feel mentally, rather than how you look physically.

I’ve had an eating disorder before and WW sounds like a really balanced way of eating without some of the negative things other diets promote that can lead to disordered eating as someone who has struggled with that before.

Love this video! Currently 6 months pregnant and managing my weight well (overweight before) but my partner has put a lot of weight on and recently confinded in me that he feels uncomfortable. So thinking we might look into WW once baby's here!
