I know what you mean Lyn. After 39 years of moving our military around the world, I retired from it ( my body needed it! ) and got a new job working 10 hour days. Different from 8 hour days. And a long hour drive each way. I have just enough time after work to do 30 minutes in the greenhouse, talk to Deb, eat , shower and bed!!! Then wake at 4: 00am and start again. New schedules are hard to get used to!! I understand. I asked on your last video about hybrid seed from mr Allan Peck. Check it out . Let me know what you think. Just thankful that you are healthy and well!! One question when you have a moment- my monkey tail cactus has some black specks, that look like soil. Is that normal?

Awwww thanks so much Karel :-D I wonder if the black specks are insect bugs, Thrips can often look like small specks of black resembling soil as if soil has got onto the stems, if the black specs can be removed easily its best to wipe them off with either rubbing alcohol on a cloth or a soft brush, if the black specks are on the cactus and can't be removed at all it could be slight damage that the cactus has got and black spots or specks can sometimes show up on the skin of the cactus, its usually aesthetic and not harmful but the worst case it could be a virus or bacterial infection, keep a close eye on it and if the black specks are on the actual skin of the cactus it may be best to spray the cactus with a systemic insecticide and fungicide to be on the safe side, thanks so much Karel for your wonderful comment and support and for watching, sending you lots of love and happiness and PLANT POWER for a fantastic Thursday XXXX
