As a Psychologist I really hope you (and any people watching this that struggle with mental health and EDs) get the professional help you need! Is very brave of you to comment those things on camera, and be so vulnerable. I hope you feel better and hope you understand that there’s nothing to be ashamed of! Sending you love from Brazil ❤️

I'm so happy that you've spoken about sugar addiction....I once commented on your videos where you shared your sugar addiction because I'm on the same boat and since then I've gotten a lot better and healthier even if it took me a lot of tries. This is a reminder that you should never loose hope and if you put your mind on something never stop and always work towards your goal ❤

It’s beautiful to see you speaking about your experience, about your day at Givaudan. I have never seen you sparkling like that, you seem completely different then usual. And thank you for sharing your struggle, vulnerability is something we should appreciate and value more. It’s the part of the process, part of our lives and ourselves. And it’s okey to feel like that, we don’t need to be always happy and smiled, because that’s not real. When we become aware of our wounds and get familiar with our shadows, then we’ll meet our strength and courage too. And we’ll make space for light to come in. Take all the time you need for yourself, the world will still be here tomorrow and the day after and after. Sending hugs from Mlini, Croatia. 🌹

Being vulnerable requires immense courage. Be proud of your strength. ❤ I have a sugar addiction, too. I have a stressful job and what used to help was to binge on sugar. I have also focused on diet change and moved to a paleo diet, which also has helped. Stay strong! Be well. ❤❤❤

Thanks for sharing so much of you ! It takes a lot of personal strength and maturity to do so !!!! I strength train about 11 hours a week, and have done so for almost 50 years. Cardio and stretching are also included in my routine. The other major key component is healthful nutrition, on a day to day, week to week, month to month, and year to year basis. ( I do not consume any red meat.) Bi-polar disorder runs in my family, which is a road that I have never gone down. Several doctors in the medical profession have explained to me that my training has not only allowed me to be very fit and healthy, but also balanced out my body chemistry. In fact, during a physical at 70, my doctor expained that I had the physiology of a man in his mid 30's . . . I was very surprised !!!! I understood up front, that the rewards of good health were achieved over time with no instant gratification. In other words, it's a marathon not a sprint ! I believe in you !!!!!

Dear girl it's not the sugar but the feelings that trigger you to go to it for relief. Hence the emotional response you feel.U nder any addiction is some kind of trauma or avoidance. If your physical health is okay, then explore your mental health in the same way. I applaud you sharing your struggle and urge you to get professional help to identify what's happening and then you will truly be healthy.

Sorry for my English, I use a translator. I understand you perfectly. I was an alcoholic and I realized it in time. But I've always been overweight and have been doing intermittent fasting for a couple of years. I have given up alcohol and soft drinks. I have lost a lot of weight and I am beginning to recognize the person I was before I became an alcoholic. Always do it for you and only for you, no matter what others think if you feel good. Cheers and greetings from Mallorca.

Sharing your story with us Josephine is brave of you and it shows your empathy to others who might also be going thru the same process as you are. In the past I used to consume a lot of sugar and it took me 1 year to completely eliminate it from my diet. So now I can’t stand eating sweets. It gives me a headache and everything tastes much better. I wish you all the best ❤

I’m so sorry you are struggling with this, and thank you for sharing. My husband also struggles with sugar. His parents and his younger brother all have developed Type 2 Diabetes. My husband was pre-diabetic. His doctor recommended the keto diet and it has worked so well for him! He’s been following it for three years and his blood sugars are back down into the normal range. And he just feels better and has more energy. I hope it helps you as well, so you can get back to feeling better! Take care.

Josephine, I completely understand you! I've been struggling with sugar addiction all my life (literally having cookies for dinner half of the time), and it is the worst. I've been on my 'health journey' for about a month now, and even though I don't feel a massive difference (I still eat some sugars, I just decided to switch the unhealthy with more healthy options such as fruit), I feel so great for finally taking back control. And that's what you're doing too, babe, you are deciding every day that YOU are running this show. And that's really powerful

I’ve struggled with similar reactions to wheat and alcohol and cut them out for years. Recently I’ve done NAET treatment for food sensitivities / allergies. I can now eat wheat in moderation with no cravings and no emotional crashes. I’ve decided not to re-introduce alcohol because I’m very happy sober. I’ve been really interested in the link between addiction & allergies/ sensitivities. I highly recommend finding a NAET practitioner. I would bet money you test sensitive to sugar and if so could benefit from the simple treatment. It’s amazing that you are sharing your story. All the best.❤❤❤

Thank you son much, Josephine for sharing with us, not only about perfumes, but about an specific healthy problem as it is the uncontrollable way of eating sugar that, unfortunately more people are struggling with. In my personal experience, the best way to solve it is reducing gradually the amount of sugar we eat everyday. Obviously, each person is different and I’m pretty sure you’re in good hands and you’ll finally manage the situation for a better and healthy way of life. All my love and support ❤️

I hear ya! Good luck with your health journey! Same problem with sugar on top of eating disorders in my youth. When I eat keto I feel great, but if I slip up and have a bit of sugar, it all goes to h*ll in a handbasket... Right now I'm going through a super stressful time, and the cravings are horrid. It's great that you've decided to get a handle on it. Sugar is one of the most addictive substances on the planet; I've heard that it can be more addictive than cocaine.

Thank you for being so vulnerable on a topic like this. I personally understand suffering mental health as well as eating habits. Something that helped me was diving into psychology and learning why I was the way I was... I'm glad that you are enjoying your diet that is vert important. And also I know that with things like sugar, when you stop eating it, it could be initially very difficult obviously. However, in the long term, those cravings decrease dramatically the longer you stay away from sugar. :)

I know how it feels and it's not easy to admit and accept that we have issues to work on. I recently left a place which stressed me out for the past 3 years. With all the mental health scars it left me, I also built very unhealthy eating pattern. I recently realized that I'm basically eating non- stop along the day. Even though I'm feeling so very much full to the extent that i feel my stomach is exploding, I kept eating. Just to ease anxiety from the stress. Not mentioning how much weight I have gained from eating. I'm still trying to find a way to control it. I'm so prod of you that you identified the issue, accepted it and found help. I hope you, me and all other people who are struggling from something will achieve a healthier way of living and defeat the fears.

Its a struggle I am familiar with.Oh the magic draw - so much to answer for. In one sitting. Nuts, biscuits, doughnuts, crisps, popcorn cakes, chocolate and usually a combo topped off with golden syrup. In 30 mins I'd run through 2,500 calories. It was like a possession where my hands and mouth would be controlled by something other than my own mind. tried to remove the sugary stuff from the house and when that wasn't possible I would remove myself. When both were not feasible I focused on driving one (bad) nail (habit) out with a series of (good) nails. That's a summary as it was more complex and not every day was perfect, but in the end it was alright. I'm willing the same outcome for you.

The majority of 1st world countries (and not only) population is addicted to sugar to some degree. But it's rarely talked about so very few people realize it. There are studies showing it can be as addictive as nicotine and co caine so in reality is way way worse, most probably. It's great that you're opening up about it, I'm sure it will raise awareness and help many of your followers in the process, while you will receive more support, which is always needed ❤

So thrilled you got to have that amazing experience at the perfumers! It sounds so fascinating...8).......also, thank you for sharing your personal journey regarding sugar.......I have lost count of the number of times I have had a major sugar binge so I can relate to your struggle. ......hello ferrero (eek)......and let's not even start about pastries, I can't go into a patisserie and just pick one tiem, I always will end up walking out with 6, which will be devoured usually the same day.....I have also found the only way that works for me is no treats (unless low/no sugar). I will allow myself honey in tea for example but that's about it.....I say whatever healthy program works for you go for it!

Sometimes it is difficult to talk about mental health as we can often feel misunderstood but you are very brave for sharing this with everyone and I wish you all the best in this process 💗

Thank you so much for sharing! That was fabulous! I also have a serious sugar addiction, so it is nice to hear from other people to go through the same thing I’m in your position I’m not trying to lose weight but I need to get off sugar!

First off, you're so beautiful, inside and out. I appreciate you talking about this. I didn't realize other people had this problem. Sweets/ sugar is my issue as well. I think I need to revisit Keto. Again, prayers for all of us to heal. ❤🙏

I am listening to your talking about your relationship with sugar and I am crying my eyes off cos you have described so exactly what I do and how I feel.. I have tried to change this bad habbit but as soon as I am stressed out and specially since the company I work for declared job suspenssion which has resulted in almost three years I have been jobless and yet still linked to the company, this whole situation has done nothing but getting worst. I got back to work last january 2nd and since then, provided my level of anxiety should have dropped significantly, I took the decisión to re-address my way of facing this issue but it is not beeing easy at all. Thanks for talking opently about this problem!!

I've never commented on a video, but you've inspired me to do so. First, I salute your willingness to put yourself out there, sharing your personal struggle. You radiate kindness and beauty and I'm confident it will be returned to you in your follower's comments. Please allow me to share my empathy and know that thoughts of support are going out to you. Secondly, I would like to share that, although healthy otherwise, I'm someone that must watch my blood sugar levels. I wouldn't say that I have a sugar addiction, but I must finish all meals with something sweet. I've managed to temper my sweet tooth by eating more fruit and dried fruits in place of sweet snacks. Also, I use Stevia in place of sugar. I am not qualified to dispense any health advice, so take what I say with a grain of salt (not sugar!). All strength to you, we're pulling for you!

Dear Josephine, Thank you for sharing your experience with Givaudan as well as going on your journey to great health. So, for me, my relationship with food and sugar in particular has been a lifelong struggle. Recently, I saw a video on TikTok that shed some light on how gross some of those sugary treats can be and ever since then, I have been avoiding them because that was 🤮🤮🤮 So what I am trying to say is that sometimes, the knowledge of what’s behind certain foods (those that are harmful and not so natural) can save us from making these impulsive choices? Needless to say I have been avoiding them cookies like the plague😅😅😅 Best of wishes to you as you are embarking on your journey. One of the best forms of self love is healthy nutrition and I admire you for having taken the time to share a vulnerable part of yourself with us. You are not alone and you are a courageous woman! Lots of love and encouragement ♥️♥️♥️

I completely understand. I’m sorry you are going through that. If you get to the point you can eat carbs (incl. fruits) safely, I recommend you look into trim healthy mama *without* the sugar replacement stuff. It’s half keto and half low GI carbs with tons of protein ("E meals"). This is what I do when I want to take control of my palate and my health. The e meals keep me very full for a long time and I notice I rarely want to eat sugar afterwards. You can do this Joséphine, we are right behind you 💪
