@@optimisticbear9617 What does repentance mean to you?
@donny54294 ай бұрын
@@optimisticbear9617 Repent means a change of mind. We are called to repent. So if you are believing in a works-based salvation as you were just then, repent (change your mind) to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation. That is the Will of the Father which we are called to follow.
@jacobi-vision32494 ай бұрын
@@donny5429nobody, even us who have works as necessary, take Jesus out of the equation. he is the equation. Even the mental change of mind is a work. Any action including mental actions are works. James states that faith without works is dead and that salvation is specifically not by faith alone. Literally the only time in the Bible faith and alone are next to each other is James saying that it is not by faith alone we’re saved. Paul agrees as well. Paul speaks about dead works, things that bring glory to ourselves and not God but he doesn’t say works in general are bad or not necessary. If that was the case he would’ve never preached the Eucharist or baptism, neither would Christ have stated that those things were necessary for salvation, which he clearly states. There are exceptions of course to all rules in orthodoxy(where I’m coming from) like the thief on the cross who decided and repented (a work) to Christ at the end of his life.

After watching this in full, I've decided to reflect on how I have dealt with others. What stood out the most was the approach to dealing with others who are not of the faith, the approach to save rather than condemn. I also will look into what you have said about the Trinity. I am also new to the faith, well I was born into Catholicism, baptised, communion, and confirmation, but I never took it seriously until recently. That's when I began looking into the different denominations... besides the point. The verse that popped into my mind: "Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, `Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye." Rather than condemning I should ensure that I sort myself out first and mature before speaking on other's beliefs and debating. I should try to develop a closer relationship with Jesus and hopefully let the fruits speak.

Humility is so bless, eye opening, causes me to reflect on my own walk to ask myself the questions, what do I really believe and does it line up with the early church fathers. Thank you for sharing and being vulnerable 🙏🏿

Good to have you back. It's a learning process at the end of the day. Unfortnately yours was public unlike the rest of ours. But it's good to see that you found a firm foundation and belief.

Glad ur back Don! 🎉Definitely good knowing you affirm the trinity now…John 8:24~ “Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for unless you believe that “I AM”you will die in your sins. Exodus 3:14~ And God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM”; and He said, “This is what you shall say to the sons of Israel: ‘I AM has sent me to you.’”

John 8:24 I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins. The meaning is right there in the next 4 verses down, the same chapter, God help us! John 8:28 Then said Jesus unto them, WHEN YE HAVE LIFTED UP THE SON OF MAN, THEN SHALL YE KNOW THAT I AM HE ( verses 25,26,27; who the father sent, to suffer for their transgressions according to Isaiah 53 ), and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things. It doesn't justify the dogma of Trinity, Christ is an Elohim/God , but he's not God the father ( Yahovah ).

Im so proud to see someone I watched grow and mature as I am and be open about his short coming. coming from some who is going to college for psychology and ministry it shows me we can't Rush greatness and to be patient, but spiritual maturity doesn't equate to age it's more so when you reach a level of wisdom in your walk so I wouldn't say u can't be in your 20s and 30s and be a leader, because we all entered the race at different times but I understand your reasoning for taking a step back.

Stay strong my brother in Christ. This is why I believe focusing on the behavior and teachings of Christ while not deviating from what the apostles instructed us to do is what should be the best course of action. Having leaders in our congregations that focuses on these aspects and do not interpret the scriptures reduces the risks of going astray from what God truly wants from us.

I’m so grateful you spoke on this, cause I see this happening with a lot of new comers of the faith. Where they’re so hyped up on leaning and becoming close to Jesus. They unintentionally alienate anyone that Jesus would be trying to save

Can you help with the reliable source I would really appreciate it. Many people talk about mushrooms and psychedelics but nobody talks about where to get them. Very hard to get a reliable source here in Australia. Really need!

I wish they were readily available in my place. Microdosing was my next plan of care for my husband. He is 59 & has so many mental health issues plus probable CTE & a TBI that left him in a coma 8 days. It's too late now I had to get a TPO as he's 6'6 300+ pound homicidal maniac. He's constantly talking about killing someone. He's violent. Anyone reading this Familiar w/ BPD know if it is common for an obsession with violence.
