Check the owners manual....there is a security code to get the radio working again and most people write that in the owners manual. The power steering pumps on those things are notorious for leaking and any good repair shop will know about the o ring kit required. Make sure you check the antifreeze situation....any coolant leak needs to be addressed right away

One thing I have read about the Honda is the timing belt that has a maintenance schedule that needs to be followed. From what I hear they are quite reliable. I have loved your Kia camping videos, just as I have totally enjoyed watching your videos on the RV, too....and so, if the trailer is your future, you have to have a vehicle that makes the trailer (living) option viable, because you can't move that beauty without a truck.... So, as you do some soul searching, I'm glad you found someone who is doing some (Kia) Soul searching of their own, and that it lead them to you... No matter which way you go on your vehicle journey in the future, I'll continue to share the journey through your fun, often informative, very awesome videos! And as far as the Honda goes, usually one can't go wrong there, as they're pretty reliable rides, until you can keep on truckin' in a truck that feels right for you. Bless you, Juli! : ) Joaquin

I am enjoying your videos so much … but for a good cleaning tip for carpet and seats if there are really dirty … vacuum very well and take a gallon of hot water, add 1/2 cup to a cup on vinegar and ammonia each and a mess cover sponge … don’t saturate … you will see color and life come back afterwards … that is what professional cleaners use here in our area if that are really bad dirty and also cost much least then renting machines
@NahBra_EUC2 жыл бұрын
More space in the back for camping! That's cool, thanks for taking us along on this twisty journey of yours. You might want to change spark plugs and get a new cap for the power steering. Hondas last forever, been working on them for 20 years. Check quality of tires and make sure your tire air pressure is around 38 in all 4 tires. Might not hurt to check the alignment on it as well after you get your tire pressure dialed in. Looks like it's coming together though.

Best Arnold voice," I'll be back".......... yes, you need a truck to pull the 5th wheel. Seems like a win getting the Honda for free, unless overheated they are usually VERY good. Your plan?path seems good/appropriate. ... Going forward I would plan on 2 vehicles being necessary as the truck to pull the 5th wheel, will/is NOT economical enough for everyday usage. .... I know this from personal experience ........ Best wishes going forward...........

Well Julianna while I did not dislike your Kia as you had lots of good times with it for sure - depending on the overall condition of the Honda and what you do with the Honda - you might actually learn to like it even more so..... Suggest taking all the back seats out and store them somewhere as you can in essence somewhat use the Honda Van like a pickup with a really nice topper on it and then there is camping with it too. You are doing exactly the correct thing by cutting expenses and keeping debt low or non-existent as it is always best to pay cash for things. The Van being free is perfect and considering it was free - would not hesitate to stick a few $$$ into it such changing the rest of the fluids as well as making sure it is mechanically in good shape. As your brother stated - those Honda motors will almost go forever if they are properly taken care of as well as the transmission and such. Not sure how it is in Canada with the Wal-Marts up there but down here they can not only change oil and such but for a few extra $$ ($20 here) they can do an injector clean and change all the filters including the cabin filter. Usually the best deal on tires is thru them so for light service/maintenace - all good. The Kia was not why we like your KZbin Channel as much as it is you keeping things "real" and not fake plus you sure seem to have lots of various adventures going on all the time. Take Care: Stay Well & Stay Safe Always! 🙂

Juliana you are my hero! You have no fear to tackle anything. I really wish more women these days would be taught to do everything that guys learn to do! I am sure having such a great brother and dad are part of it. Doing the right thing for sure! Most of us were brought up to value things over experiences. Lowering your monthly expenses will give you more freedom to do what you want to do! And on top of lowering your monthly expenses you will get to learn lots about maintaining a van. Very useful if you plan to travel. Someday something might happen when you are in the middle of nowhere and you will have a lot more experience to fix it yourself than most people these days.

Check your power steering pump pulley in the video it look like it was wobbling, the bearings in its bad if it's wobbling. And if there's no fluid in it all the fluid leaked out the front seal where it's wobbling . Go to a junkyard and get you a used power steering pump if you're trying to save money just find a wreck van like yours with low miles and get that one. And your hair looks nice! Great video!
