Fui a platicas de bautizo unos años atrás y lo que más se me quedó fue que los "compadres" no se eligen por que son tus compás/amigos en la peda etc. la "comadre" o "compadre" es aquel que ves "como madre/padre" para tu hijo. And it makes sense!

I love how you guys expressed yourself about being padrinos I have 2 little ones and one is already baptized and we’ve both are padrinos to my cousin for his first communion and we definitely took it serious when becoming godparents and when we baptized our son as well but I felt as if not many do I like a god mother felt the need to reach out constantly but the minute I reached out without gift giving or money sending I wasn’t received the same I definitely agree that both parties need to put in as much effort not expecting materialistic things but just a hey how’s my godson or hey god mom how are you and now I’m in a pickle when choosing a god parent for my daughter I don’t ever remember having a relationship with my god parents and I don’t want that for my kids I would love someone to understand that it’s a big ass deal !!

Hey Adriana Maybe she said that Bc most people think that renting is a “waste of money” bc you’re paying someone else’s mortgage. And most people, specifically with 9-5 jobs struggle to pay rent, bills, debt and be able to set money aside for a downpayment for their own home. And then they’re stuck. I don’t think that’s the case with y’all. And some like to rent Bc they aren’t sure where to settle down. I think a home is an asset. And some buy their first home knowing it won’t be their forever home. A home is viewed as an asset, an investment. If you own it, you can always sell it or rent it out.

Mi esposo y yo vamos para 5 años de casados y no tenemos hijos y la pregunta siempre es la misma “Y ustedes para cuando?” Mi esposo está estudiando y trabajando y yo hechandole ganas al trabajo para comprarnos una casita y no estar como los que preguntan con 5 hijos viviendo en un basement y con ayuda del gobierno. Así que cada quien sabe cuando uno quiera y pueda y si no también está bien quedarse uno solo como pareja nunca vas a extrañar algo que nunca has tenido.

No le hablo a mis padrinos porque siempre han hablado mal de mis papas y siempre los has excluido/ tratarlos como si fueran menos porque no tienen un negocio/ no son de dinero.
