For the most part, I have been a silent watcher for years. I have watched you develop as a creator and as a person. I was around when you first got Harriet and Athena and watched them grow from kittens to adult cats. They have always been a wonderful addition on your channel and Harriet will be missed. Kristy I am so very sorry. Harriet was so sweet. While going through breast cancer my Merlin would lay over my hip and comfort me. He passed away after I had my double mastectomy. We lost our sweet boy in very much the same way in July. It was heartbreaking. His little kitty “sister” was lost for awhile,but she’s taken comfort in loving on my oldest son. It took her a few weeks to find her new normal, but she got there. There are still days I cry from missing him. But I know he lived a good life and was spoiled rotten and I’m glad he passed at home with us and not having the stress of the vet trip. Congrats on the new job!

I had to turn this off and come back later to watch. It was a little too close to home. I have a 16 year old lab that realistically doesn't have a lot of time left. I can't think about losing her, I've had her since she was 8 weeks old. Seeing your raw pain was tough. Sending you a lot of love and prayers. Congrats on the job.

I wish there was something to say that could help, each day is a gift with our sweet pets and they are precious to us. Big hugs to you all. ❤😢 Years ago we cat a younger cat who suddenly passed and found out it was some kind of heart disease, the vet said that it was almost impossible to detect as they are normal and then they just pass suddenly. I dont remember all the details anymore but same sort of thing happened when my kids were young. So heartbreaking and unexpected ❤

🥺so sad for your loss. We had a lovely cat that had his share of health problems, so his loss was expected. We were crushed,still, and could not stop the flow of tears. Love the Facebook post of a grave marker from 1910 of a beloved cat named Dewey. It reads “He was only a cat” but he was human enough to be a great comfort in hours of loneliness and pain. Kandi, I am so, so sorry for your loss. You are such a kind, loving and beautiful woman and your love for Harriet and all your cats is so beautiful. My daughter lost her precious cat Baby last May; like Harriet, we never knew exactly what caused her death. Our vet thought pancreatitis or possibly cancer; whatever it was, it was so sudden and totally unexpected. I was crying with you while I was watching this video and I just wanted to reach through the screen and give you a big hug. Harriet was so very lucky to be your kitty; she (and all your cats) was surrounded by love and care all her life. Cry as often and as much as you need to; it is the best thing for healing. You know that all of your friends are grieving with you and sending you so much love and support. Your sadness and grief at Harriet's death show the depth of your love and your kind, loving nature. Things will get better and eventually you will remember Harriet with love and fondness and will be able to laugh about her goofiness and funny ways. We all love you!!

So sorry for your loss. We lost our 13 year old dog 6 mths ago, and at the time we thought we were not going to get thru it. First the days of shock and numbness along with almost continual crying, depression and despondency. But gradually, very gradually you finally move on. I've lost many pets both cats and dogs in my 64 years, but it never gets easier. Time will eventually lessen the pain, so just take all the time you need.

I had a rabbit he was literally my soul bunny, I grew up with him. He lived 10 years so a pretty good and long life. I still miss him and think of him all the time, sometimes I swear my dog is him reincarnated. They have the same brown and white coloring and have similar personalities.

I lost my 14 year old cat 3 months ago to kidney failure. It happened really fast as well, so I can definitely empathize with what you're going through. She was doing okay, playing and getting cuddled by my family, and literally the next day she was unable to stand on her feet and refusing to eat or drink. So we made the difficult decision to have her put down, and not a day goes by that my family and I don't miss her like crazy.

I can only hope it wasn't something that could affect Athena as well. You might consider taking Athena to the vet for a thorough check-up. Hope you can get Athena a playmate if you don't already have one. I cried with you. We are dog lovers and I lost my best boy in January of 2019. I was crying over him last night, because I still miss him so much and always will. I couldn't even function after he passed. I grieved hard for months. He was and will always be my boy. Hej there, as a lot of ppl here I usually am a silent watcher (from Germany btw bc this is where your lovely personality has spread :)) I just wanted to say that I am very sorry for your loss! It is very good that Athena was able to see and smell Heriette like that so she can process it, too. Besides all the heartbreak over losing a family member it also made me feel warm that there are people with you in the grieving process who are also in need to process a loss bc it shows how much love she had around her when she was with you. Those little four pawed empresses and emporers really have a big impact in our lives. Thank you for sharing this with us!💜
