I’m with you, Brianna about rating books 🤣 I never understand When people rate books with .6 or .8… I either feel passionately about them, meh about them or hate them. There’s not much in between lol

I had laparoscopy for my endometriosis in 2017. It was the best thing I’ve ever done for myself. Mine was extreme in that it had adhered to every organ nearby so it did take me about six months to feel fully back to normal in the gym and about a month to feel normal putting on pants and opening doors etc. One thing I didn’t anticipate was the uncomfortable feeling from the air they pump into you to be able to do the surgery. It gave me a feeling of pressure within my chest cavity and it was the worst underneath my collar bone. It’s not painful and it was gone within 48h. I wish you all the best with it if that’s what you have! I hope it’s a positively life changing for you as it was for me ❤

Completely agree about the canceling and so glad you guys talked about this! Ultimately, it is about treating the people you care about with respect. I have the most amazing group of friends and we support each other esp if sickness is involved because yes, please stay home and get better. But if someone is just constantly being selfish and always putting their needs in front of everyone else’s always, then they are not a good friend. It all needs to be in balance. If someone is constantly overbooking themselves which is easy to do in our society, and then canceling last minute because they are tired, it shows that they need to be better at planning and maybe just say “No” from the beginning if you don’t have the energy! lol Love y’all’s podcast. I love the way you both talk through things and your worldview/perspective!

Double commenter here.. 😬 I remember telling my doctor “is it weird that every time I’m on my period, it hurts to poop”. She suspected that it was endometriosis and that it was somewhat common for women who suffer from endometriosis. It just grows in certain areas.. she put me on a birth control that I was on for 10 years that hormonally made me skip my period. I didn’t have a period for almost 10 years because of the pain my periods were causing me. My doctor told me at the time “I know kids aren’t in your near future, but if you ever want them or want to try for them- I suggest you stay on birth control until you’re ready to have them or else this will continue to spread and make it very difficult to conceive”. Within the past 5 years I’ve gotten off birth control and I haven’t had an endometriosis flare up yet and my periods are as normal as they can be. There’s a narrative out there about how bad birth control can be, but I can promise you that quality of life is way more important than in my opinion and I don’t regret it!

Omg Amanda I can relate to the blood experience! I was in Medical Assisting school before and I could draw blood all day but when someone took mine I always got the faint feeling and would have to do the same!

I definitely recommend Fable if you like Good Reads but want a more in depth way of rating books! You can also sync it with your Good Reads so you can keep up with all your books in both places! Love you girlies

I have a friend who has stage four endometriosis and her endometriosis has fused to her colon and small intestine. She was experiencing some of the same issues during her cycle and after.

I loved the court series…the second was way better than the first. I wish the sex scenes were better. I like them to be more raunchy lol. Think the this man series…if you have read them, do it Oh but if the court books are 13+…. Later you get Nestas thoughts and those are very dirty! I don’t want me 13 year old reading those yet haha
