100% team Sarah in making that room and functional gym! Also this video felt super personal (i.e. we pretty much saw you the entire time and it felt like you were speaking to us) which I LOVED! Reminded me of the old times! Very excited for the healthy reset video (another throwback!) 🫶

I think making that empty space into a gym is a good idea definitely, at the moment it just seem like wasted space. Fox is such a sweetheart and Malakai is growing up so fast, where does time go x
@mariannemitt76602 жыл бұрын
I totally agree with you that the current "gym" should be a garage and the old office space should be a gym (it will look awesome with all that natural light coming in!). I'm sure that once you execute that plan then Kurt also realises that it's actually better this way ;)

I fully support your idea about turning the pool building into a gym. It's a beautiful room already and give me plates studio vibes. Do it!!
@rhiannonml79372 жыл бұрын
Honestly converting your old podcast studio into a pilates/dumbell gym or yoga kind of space is a GREAT idea cause you'll have the open doors and so much sun and fresh air and then you could still keep the boxing stuff in the garage cause you have all that gear hanging up anyways but definitely think that's a smart use of the space! You also have the upstairs area with the tv and bookshelf that you could totally turn into a nice little retreat room with cool board games and books and maybe even some family pictures/cool art or whatever fits your vibee

Now, we all know… this is just a 22min snapshot of your day, and there is probably so so much more pain, tears, and torture that we don’t see, however, you are one god damn hero that is so real and does show so much of your struggle, and for that, I THANK YOU. I AM ENAMERED BY YOU. Sarah, your a hero of a Mum.

Have you thought about making the empty space 1/2 a gym and 1/2 a health retreat? For instance, have the gym towards the front for airflow and section off a space at the back for a massage table, possible water feature, space for rehydration (filtered water) and shelves for decor and in built music (think when you go to visit a spa). This way in case you can’t get out of the house you can do a home workout or call in a massage therapist for relaxation and muscle manipulation. Hope this idea helps 💗

Hope all is well with your family, Sarah. I've, of course, missed your videos the last few weeks, but your mental health and stability is way more important. You are an incredible woman and it's amazing how you have multiple companies while mothering two amazing boys. You and Kurt have been through so many challenges especially with baby Malachi being sick so often and spending so much time in the hospital. Take all the time that you and your family need to stay healthy and gain stability again. You are truly an incredible role model. ❤️❤️

I'd go books on the lower shelves and the smaller interesting pieces up top. Books at the top can make a room feel top heavy and subsequently smaller. I'm sure it will look great whatever you choose!

Every person needs in life the possibility to retreat in their own home. So that gym with all the surfboards and stuff. When Kurt says he would love a parents retreat space he even wants to share his retreat with you. That is special. I don’t know anyone who wants to retreat with someone else. Normally people need alone time now and then. But he wants alone time with you. That is special.

Add plants and memory artwork random items Brought from your holidays etc needs some greenery 😍 maybe a kids retreat just an area for the boys to play and couch for the parents to chill and small work out area for mum. Maybe half the garage and make half man cave half workout area. Maybe having to small work out areas will be a nice change of scenery. So good to see your little family growing your an inspiration x

100% on board for your gym idea! We've recently moved house and our home gym is now set up in our garage (it was previously in a large shed in the backyard and used only for the gym equipment) now that it is in the garage there is always something getting dumped in the way. Def should use the garage for all the camping/sports equipment and the back room for your gym 👌

I’m sooo team Sarah on the gym! I was actually wondering what happened to your outdoor room (which is sooo pretty). 100% it should be a gym because it makes no sense to have your current gym in the house but you don’t use it because it’s too packed. For the room upstairs, maybe you can add some family pictures in frames…it can take up some space and it’s something that you can keep forever and isn’t a useless waste of money

i think making the old office a little granny flat so the kids can have their own area when they have friends over for sleepovers or if you have people staying the night add a little bed and a lounge make it a cute spare room separate to your house xxx
@caitloucole222 жыл бұрын
Love your videos! What if you made that outdoor space, your entertaining space for friends. You can always have it set up and stocked with adult related food or drinks or nice decor you wouldn’t normally put in a home with littles. So instead of your friends and family tiptoeing upstairs to the movie room, everyone can keep between the main floor, the pool, and that outdoor space. Then as the kids get older and they have friends ofer, they can go upstairs for sleepovers and movie nights and the adults can have that outdoor space. Thanks for being you Sezzy!

I think with the bookshelf, less is more. You could definitely add books (even stack them on their side) to fill some of the space, but I think spreading out the decor so it balances everything out would look nice. Maybe 3-4 items per shelf? And totally agree with converting the old pool room into a gym. It’s such a bright and light space. Working out overlooking your pool and beautiful garden rather than in a small cluttered dark space will put you in a much better headspace and make you more motivated! (Sorry Kurt) ☺️

I love the gym being in the old office/room off the pool!!! I'm sure you'll move away from that as your boys age, turning that space into a space for the boys to play/game with friends. But for now, YES, it's a beautiful space with gorgeous natural light and when you are done and need a cool down, you can take a quick dip in the pool :)

The pool house should 100% be the gym because of all that beautiful light and the view of the pool and the plants is extremely motivating. As for your media room on the third level, I think by filling up the shelf with books in rainbow coloured order including a couple hanging vines would add some colour, a lively sense to the place and be overall visually appealing!
@jessicawalker32402 жыл бұрын
If you think you'll use that gym equipment more in there, then yes 100% move it! Maybe leave the boxing bags in the garage tho? Would mixing it up inspire Kurt to use it more too? I think it'll make a beautiful pilates studio as well (I know you've already got one but obvs in the future when malikai has his own room will be handy!) Also re the shelves - indoor plants!!

Tbh, I think that back room would be better for storage. I think the surf boards, bikes, etc. would look really aesthetic in there. The current gym gives me hardcore gym vibes since you can lift the garage door.
