Hey Tommy! I'm a Novice reptile owner. I really want to buy a Tegu, please tell me should I buy it or if not give me a few similar Recommendations. And yes I'm ready For it's heating system and feeding system.

Do you have a large enclosure? I never had a Tegu but I know eventually they need a giant enclosure but if you really want one I say go for it! There is plenty of information out there to help you take good care of them. The good news is I’ve seen lots of people who have Tegus and it seems they can have really cool personalities.🦎As far as recommendations of a similar type of Lizard I would look into some Monitor Lizard. I have a Quince Monitor and he is a joy to joy to be around but Monitors can be difficult cause they are super smart and can bite and scratch if they wanted to. Another cool option is Rhino Iguanas.

Thank you so much! I don't have enough money to by a enclosure but I do have enough money to buy a cage type enclosure (Steel or metel) where an adult Tegu can stay comfortable.

Man your first frillie doesn’t look amazing…same thing kinda happened to mine in a different way. My recommendation would be hydration, and calcium, but lots and lots of water

Definitely wouldn't recommend a monitor if its your first reptile so maybe one of the other two :)
