“I used to think I was the strangest person in the world but then I thought, there are so many people in the world, there must be someone just like me who feels bizarre and flawed in the same ways I do I would imagine her, and imagine that she must be out there thinking of me too. well, I hope that if you are out there you read this and know that yes, it’s true I’m here, and I’m just as strange as you.” - Frida Kahlo

That's so beautiful. It's like the notion, that no matter where you are, there is always someone thinking about you, and perhaps you have never even met, but a kind of human connectedness. I don't know, but I feel it's a nice thought. peace x

my new favourite metaphor: "i dont really believe in swimming pools". its like saying you don't believe in the fake or fabricated “beauty” in the world regardless of its utility or popularity - you prefer the ocean. hence why you dont believe in swimming pools. i dont really think she intended it to be interpreted that way but it carries such heavy connotation and its so BEAUTIFULLL. shes so inspiring!

When she put her hair down, I feel it was the most defining moment of the video I really felt an interaction, something she had full control and power on but invitating:she owns her body and knows how magical it is and she is not hysterical about it. That was such a strong moment. Its so refreshing and important to have strong women like this around

I love that in each of these videos, there'd always be people who feel that finally, there's a figure out there in the world they can relate to. It's so important for people to know that they're not alone, never alone. But at the same time, I truly hope that it also reminds them that as much as this person resonates with you, there'd be others whose personalities bypass you completely. And that's alright too, because we're all different and difference, in WHATEVER form, shouldn't be seen as a negative thing. Love this series. :)

She is one of the most beautiful beings I have ever had the privilege witnessing being vulnerable. I appreciate how she was willing to open herself up to a shift in her personal set of invisible rules like not ever removing her rings so that she could be part of this project. Because of her willingness to fully participate she has inspired many and will continue to inspire others for a long time to come for all who see this interview. As a queer woman who takes up space with my 6 ft, truly big boned, goddess shaped self I can say that I am not only inspired but also hopeful. With role models like Stave B. I know we will be able to help support the new generations in being true to themselves and shifting the mainstream mindset to what is truly important which is to Love Yourself so you can be open to being loved, accept love, being capable of expressing love and to project love. It is very rare to be able to see life without all the foggy bullshit, I really hope I could reach that point of enlightenment in my life soon, I am going through such a hard time right now.
