I am planning a family trip (8 adults and 1 infant (2 years age) from 24th may to 29th May. Can you answer the following queries:- 1) Can 1 Ez link card be used for multiple members in MRT? same question for forex card SBI.? 2)since we are a group, is it cost effective to take a taxi? (its confusing, since i can only see 4 seater and 6 seater, ) can an infant and 4 adults travel in a 4 seater taxi? 3) last week of May, still an umbrella is requried?

Thank you 😍 1. One card is for person irrespective of any card 2. Taxi might be cost effective but not sure about infant.. you can anyways go and check that as Taxis can be booked using Grab app(Similar to Ola) instantly. Just check in your hotel before booking about infant 3. It might rain any day in a year, so it’s required.

For a few KM the meter showed 7 SGD, but the moment he stopped at our destination it shot up to 16 SGD, we were constantly keeping the check of the meter. When we confronted the driver, he became conscious about that and then took the right amount that was 10 SGD. So every time you need to be careful

@@life2wander865 Surprising, never had an issue with taxis in Singapore in the past 10 years and typically they round down the change. Usually there are a lot of surcharges for CBD pickup, peak time surcharge, booking fee etc. which won't show up as increasing but gets added at the end (they will be shown on the bottom right side of the meter screen though, just that they will get added to the total after the journey ends). If you don't mind, where was the pick up and drop off and what day and time was it?

Living in Singapore for many years, I can say there is no way taxi drivers can tamper with their meters in Singapore. It is absolutely safe and regulated. The extra charge is the standard surcharge for rides taken after midnight.
