My favorite cop story as teen stoner. I learned how to drive high, my high school girlfriend made me drive since she was too lazy to drive high. So one day we were just chilling in a parking lot and she handed me the keys and was like "you're driving from now on if we're baked" lol I probably drove over 25k miles without a license (We dated on and off for the entire 4 years of high school, plus we were next door neighbors, and we were still hanging out even when we weren't dating, just one of those groups of friends who hung out always)... We were those group of teens who loved cruising high AF, we would just drive to Seattle, look at the water front, legit not even get out of the car, and then drive to whatever we felt next. My favorite was watching the Kent/Renton street races, but we mostly liked it for running from the cops. It wasn't literally running from the cops, people who've been to illegal street races know what i am talking about, you just see sirens and everyone just drives away, still was a rush every time. The cops mainly wanted the actual racers, which we weren't in a 90s Camry lol one time we were a little late to the meetup so we were driving around and we had a headlight out, it would just need a couple kicks to turn back on, but we started getting pulled over. My girlfriend and I immediately rocked our seats back while i was pulling into a gas station and we switched seats over and under each other, while switching seats I knocked over a large container of coke onto the passenger seat. I get my jacket under me to stop from getting wet, and while we're freaking out the cop is taking a while to come over. When he finally does, it's only when another cop car pulls up. The cop slowly walks up and looking worried, my girlfriend rolls the window down and the cop says "What was all the moving huh?" Probably thinking we were hiding drugs and shit, which my friend was in the backseat but they couldn't see that, just my GF and me switching seats. It immediately clicks in my brain, "oh sorry officer, I was taking a nap and my girlfriend scared me awake and I spilled my coke on the seat, the moving was my girlfriend taking off my jacket to cover the seat. As I am saying this, I was sitting up showing the coke covered seat and my wet ass jacket. He looks it over, than goes "Well okay, you got a headlight out sweetie, do you know that? we got off with a warning. Fucking close call man, and thank god for giant Mcdonalds large drinks with shitty ass lids back then. If you read that whole thing, thanks for reading. I was baked AF typing this so there are 100% errors, typos, and very incorrect grammer because I am a lazy fucking stoner who is winded from typing this.
