Ok the manufacturer says to carry on an empty chamber. Instant fail for me plus it's only a single shot is .22lr. I'll keep my .22mag NAA mini revolver. Its lite weight, doesn't print, a 5 shot, and was $215 otd.

Exactly my thoughts. I would gladly pay $149 for one and buy two of those, or maybe even $199 for one, but only to add to the collection and maybe have some backyard fun, since it is a unique item, and I appreciate the innovation behind it. But using this as a primary self defense weapon is kind of like bringing a needle to a sword fight, especially when you actually can buy a really good firearm at that price. Not even in the best case scenario, will someone have the time to pull this out of their pocket, prep it, load it, cock it and fire it. Not to say that the threat will perfectly be neutralized by a single .22lr round.

You're missing the point. This is the backup gun that you can take somewhere where you normally wouldn't, like a gym, and it won't profile as a gun but you're still protecting yourself. You could also accidentally brandish it, by taking it out of your pocket, but not freak people out when they see it. I don't want to get shot or arrested, just because I was getting something out of my pocket, like my keys and accidentally took out a small backup handgun, like a derringer, with them.

Converted mine to a 22 magnum. Very dependable, last ditch single-shot firearm. Fits nicely in your gold pocket on your jeans, you’ll forget you have it. To aim better, use a silver permanent marker along the top grove for faster sight alignment. 👍

This gun probably would benefit from spring-assisted opening with the handle and barrel along with an round ejector similar to that of singleshot shotguns . Double barrel would also be beneficial since people might not take this gun seriously and a warning shot may be necessary .

@georgesangilan2845 Ah , I might have been drunk when I wrote that comment as I'm not sure if a double barrel would be good to have, but I don't see why they can't make it an semiautomatic but maybe it's better to have a gun than no gun at all . Also , I said people but meant to say people and animals , although leaning more towards animals ; stray dogs/coyotes , I doubt this will help with bears , mountain lions , wolves , etc... Definitely would shoot someone with a gun , especially if they are trying to hurt someone , although if you see a gun it may be too late or this gun may be ineffective , but if I don't see a gun then a warning shot might be necessary , but I'll have to check my laws about warning shots ; not all criminals carry guns , a lot of them carry knives , ligatures , etc . Although a bat or similar might just get you killed as I would think this gun needs to be shot at an uncomfortably close range , which could ultimately mean the attacker didn't take you or this gun seriously and a warning shot is necessary ; maybe to prove this isn't an fake/toy and prove that you aren't afraid to shoot .
