妻子的顺服不是：1）字每件事都必须与丈夫有一摸一样的信念与想法。2）常说“我不懂”，然后将大小事务的责任都交给丈夫。3）避免尝试改变丈夫。4）只有从丈夫身上支取力量。5）叫她活在惧怕里。妻子的顺服是：全然的尊重与接受丈夫在婚姻中的领导力，也善用自己一切的恩赐与长处来帮助丈夫在领导家庭方面能做得更好。一个顺服的妻子绝对尊重那领导的重要，也借着她无私的帮补来帮助丈夫生发领导力。她不会使唤丈夫作出领导的表现，耐蚀用长久温柔、安静的心为装饰，也以尊重和期待来唤起丈夫里头的领导力。
