Loneliness is extremely painful. It hurts so bad when you have no one to deeply connect with. Jesus to me seems so far away. I call on Him but he doesn’t answer. I love him so much but for some reason I can’t feel his help and comfort. It hurts so bad💔

Our church has a ladies group, and it's been a huge help & blessing to so many of us. I wish you could join us. Don't give up. Keep trusting Jesus, no matter what!

I have been part of a church for years but I'm not getting the community support that I need. I've been feeling lonely from time to time since covid started and even after church reopened, and recently the loneliness I feel is more intense and frequent. I considered attending other churches but I feel shy when meeting new people in groups. I also don't have close friends from other churches to help me integrate into a new church. I need to do this on my own and I need courage from God to step into new social groups. If you guys would pray for me to have the courage from God to find the community support that I need, that would be greatly appreciated!

I feel lonely I awkward sit alone at church. Today at church I couldn’t concentrate on the word I felt so much pain from the loneliness I feel. I just wanted to cry. I get why I keep falling into the same traps of sin. It’s because of the loneliness. I want something to fill the void so I don’t have to feel the pain. It only helps temporarily though. I came across this sermon today after getting home from church and I’m grateful for it.

Thank you. It feels comforting to hear someone acknowledge that loneliness isn't just an issue with us not being close enough to God, it's an issue with us not being close enough to each other. I keep hearing people say that you need to be comfortable being by yourself. I'm dealing with a sudden breakup because she wasn't ready for intimacy and connection required for a relationship and pulled out as soon as it got tough. The next day, my grandmother died suddenly. All of this happened why I was away at school getting my engineering degree. After these two losses, it feels like a wound has reopened and I'm all alone once again. I really desire that closeness and intimacy with someone. And as a guy, we are pretty much always alone. I'm exhausted. I'm in so much pain. I need to know and be known by another.

I've somehow managed to keep going, and I'm going to the gym regularly, working on my eating, I'm going mountain biking on Sunday and I just bought some stuff to make it doable to mountain bike regularly and make it more enjoyable, and I've stuck with what I said I would do. I'm currently alone in my apartment, just did some dishes, doing some laundry, and I got my room cleaned and ready. Just got done with some homework, and I think I'm about to play some guitar or read, fold some clothes, take a shower, and then head to bed. I'm working with my therapist on reframing isolation from a negative to a positive, or at least neutral. So I'm figuring out how to be independent. I've decided through rationalizing and getting counsel from some godly friends, that the friend group that my ex is in, is not a friend group I really need to stress about being in. They are very clique-y, and the efforts into being a good friend that I put out aren't being reciprocated. All of them are freshmen, so it makes sense that they would still have a high school mentality which I am not used to anymore. I just got back from hanging out with some work friends which I really needed, it helped me lighten up and enjoy myself.

Thank you for this message. I have been saying this and longing for this for so many years. I have struggled with attending church in the past because of a lack of hospitality. I now live in Yellowstone National Park and it is difficult to get out and go to church. I'm grateful for a few believers here but I still miss a welcoming spirit among believers. Don't be afraid. You don't have to have a beautiful home, great cooking skills, or anything else. Just invite a fellow believer to spend time with you. Church is not supposed to be ruled by our 'independent culture' we are the Church!

Hello! That's a good question. Thank you for your comment. I would like to go back to church but I am agoraphobic and I'm scared of covid 19. I believe I can overcome agoraphobia (and panic disorder) but it's a difficult situation anyway. I am glad the Internet exists.

Hello Nicolas I am so glad that you joined up today. I can totally relate to you with the agoraphobia. I myself suffer from that. Many years. I can tell you that with God life has gotten so much better. Everyday can be a struggle but, I just try, and I know that God is always there for me. I know it is hard for people to understand when they don't suffer from it like we do. Not every day is where I want it to be, but I believe that God has a plan for us. He will never leave our side as he says in. Hebrews 13:5. We build our faith in God by prayer and studying his word. I would love to pray for you on your journey to righteousness. Dear Lord God, I come before you with your son Nicolas by my side. God, I know that you know Nicolas and you know his heart. Please send angels of healing and strength to Nicolas. Help him with the issues that he is suffering with. Allow Nicolas to see you work in his life for the plan that you have for your son. I ask this in the name of our Savior Jesus Christ, your son. Amen. Nicolas, I thought of this verse, and I believe it is true for us. He will cover you with his pinions, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness is a shield and buckler. Psalm 91:4 God loves you, Nicolas. Take the strength you need from Our Lord. Ask and it shall be yours. Pray without ceasing. Be Well, my friend. ❤️Lisa

I have been supported and filled, hurt and betrayed, welcome and loved by the communities of church but thanks to God for giving me wisdom that at the end of the day they are human like me; a sinner who are not perfect and fall short but that didn’t mean God had forgotten me. So, if you feel like the members of the church hasn’t been doing great to represent Christ’s love, don’t be discouraged. God loves you and you try to be the member of the church you needed❤

I wish where I go to church was what you preach. I live in a small town, and unfortunately many different not tend to people's needs. I've gone there broken various times and have been "left" sitting there after everyone cleared out. Sorry to say.
