Loneliness is extremely painful. It hurts so bad when you have no one to deeply connect with. Jesus to me seems so far away. I call on Him but he doesn’t answer. I love him so much but for some reason I can’t feel his help and comfort. It hurts so bad💔

I have been part of a church for years but I'm not getting the community support that I need. I've been feeling lonely from time to time since covid started and even after church reopened, and recently the loneliness I feel is more intense and frequent. I considered attending other churches but I feel shy when meeting new people in groups. I also don't have close friends from other churches to help me integrate into a new church. I need to do this on my own and I need courage from God to step into new social groups. If you guys would pray for me to have the courage from God to find the community support that I need, that would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you. It feels comforting to hear someone acknowledge that loneliness isn't just an issue with us not being close enough to God, it's an issue with us not being close enough to each other. I keep hearing people say that you need to be comfortable being by yourself. I'm dealing with a sudden breakup because she wasn't ready for intimacy and connection required for a relationship and pulled out as soon as it got tough. The next day, my grandmother died suddenly. All of this happened why I was away at school getting my engineering degree. After these two losses, it feels like a wound has reopened and I'm all alone once again. I really desire that closeness and intimacy with someone. And as a guy, we are pretty much always alone. I'm exhausted. I'm in so much pain. I need to know and be known by another.

I've somehow managed to keep going, and I'm going to the gym regularly, working on my eating, I'm going mountain biking on Sunday and I just bought some stuff to make it doable to mountain bike regularly and make it more enjoyable, and I've stuck with what I said I would do. I'm currently alone in my apartment, just did some dishes, doing some laundry, and I got my room cleaned and ready. Just got done with some homework, and I think I'm about to play some guitar or read, fold some clothes, take a shower, and then head to bed. I'm working with my therapist on reframing isolation from a negative to a positive, or at least neutral. So I'm figuring out how to be independent. I've decided through rationalizing and getting counsel from some godly friends, that the friend group that my ex is in, is not a friend group I really need to stress about being in. They are very clique-y, and the efforts into being a good friend that I put out aren't being reciprocated. All of them are freshmen, so it makes sense that they would still have a high school mentality which I am not used to anymore. I just got back from hanging out with some work friends which I really needed, it helped me lighten up and enjoy myself.

This is a great message. Since I was a teenager I felt this way that church should not just be a place you fellowship with on Sunday but also during the week. The problem is in society today everyone has their own busy lives and groups of friends. Even when you have social media you rarely hear from others. It is tough. Thank you for this message. I have been saying this and longing for this for so many years. I have struggled with attending church in the past because of a lack of hospitality. I now live in Yellowstone National Park and it is difficult to get out and go to church. I'm grateful for a few believers here but I still miss a welcoming spirit among believers. Don't be afraid. You don't have to have a beautiful home, great cooking skills, or anything else. Just invite a fellow believer to spend time with you. Church is not supposed to be ruled by our 'independent culture' we are the Church!

Hello Nicolas I am so glad that you joined up today. I can totally relate to you with the agoraphobia. I myself suffer from that. Many years. I can tell you that with God life has gotten so much better. Everyday can be a struggle but, I just try, and I know that God is always there for me. I know it is hard for people to understand when they don't suffer from it like we do. Not every day is where I want it to be, but I believe that God has a plan for us. He will never leave our side as he says in. Hebrews 13:5. We build our faith in God by prayer and studying his word. I would love to pray for you on your journey to righteousness. Dear Lord God, I come before you with your son Nicolas by my side. God, I know that you know Nicolas and you know his heart. Please send angels of healing and strength to Nicolas. Help him with the issues that he is suffering with. Allow Nicolas to see you work in his life for the plan that you have for your son. I ask this in the name of our Savior Jesus Christ, your son. Amen. Nicolas, I thought of this verse, and I believe it is true for us. He will cover you with his pinions, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness is a shield and buckler. I'd love to start a life church here in waukesha, WI. I have a great community support but I have tried many churches in the area and the second I start to share my story and how far I have come with Jesus, I get looked at like I have 50 eyes. Despite the fact that they all say all are welcome. Anyway, God is great and have put some amazing people in my life. But there is a honest lack of believers for sure. I have looked again into several life groups also. Thanks for all you do. It is important for so many kinds of people, even those of us who might keep walking away from the building but they haven't walked away from Jesus.

I look good. What he is preaching so accurate got divorce and my mom died in the same year. All I wanted to do was to isolate from everyone because I felt unworthy and a burden. Little my little I’m slowly coming out to help people.
