The spoon trick works as advertised, but first make sure your shoes are untied lol. Cleaning laces? I have a front loading washing machine so I just chuck 'em in with the rest of the wash. If you have a top-loader, get yourself a smalls bag and chuck 'em in that. If the mesh is too wide and the laces tend to snake out, just tie the ends of the laces together.

Do not ever put baby powder in your shoes. They will smell worse. The best thing to use is baking soda and cornstarch mixed together. Cornstarch absorbs the moisture and baking soda absorbs the odor.

Baby powder also helped me get rid of squeaky soles. Though it was temporary and last only a few weeks yet it prevented me from throwing my shoes for a year after which squeakiness went away on its own.

They make UVC light shoe sanitizers. The best possible way. Pretty much would eliminate even the slightest trace of odor, but don't ever look at that light. It causes eye and skin damage!!!!

Actually just finished the video and I gotta ask 1. Using an eraser on your midsole 2. Rubbing A Banana Skin On Your Shoe 3. Using a spoon/shoehorn to assist with putting your shoe on 4. Washing your shoe laces How could any of these methods do damage to your shoe? The others I understand like maybe just maybe if you buy some cheap ass $15 wallmart shoes they might react badly to chemicals in Baby Powder or Candle wax (no idea how just giving you the benefit of the doubt) but please explain how these 4 could damage your shoe

see that tab at back of shoe? That's to help you hold the heel in position while putting shoe on. Won't always work, but it helps. And where you gonna get a spoon in your wanderings? Maybe if you're camping & you brought silverware? Why are you taking your shoes off outside anyway? There aren't too many good reasons to do that. Still, a good vid.

That’s a stupid hack. Unless he’s on a picnic, who carries a spoon to the park. Simple hack... untie and loosen the laces, then use the pull tab at the back of the heel cap to put it on properly. No spoon required.
