I think the thing I appreciate most about the remaster so far is that Rachel looks more like she does in the missing person's posters in the original game. I'm glad they made that change. I might consider buying the Before the Storm remaster if it's sold separately from the original game, just because I don't already own Before the Storm.

Togehter with the rollercoaster ride of feelings of the games the music created so many memories for me! Its a pity they don‘t have the music in this trailer…

@@FreshKingJohns i don’t really hate Before The Storm, but i’m not a fan of it either, i agree with you! the main game should be more polished. i have a theory that BTS looks much better because it was made by Deck Nine in 2018 and was remastered by them, it’s their game. when the main game was made by other studio Dontnod in 2015. however it’s not an excuse, just a thought. otherwise i’m disappointed that they didn’t give more love and justice to the main game and Max as a protagonist :(

@@FreshKingJohns Deck Nine that is working on these 2 remasters are also the developers that made Before The Storm, so they already got all the different materials,technology (they used Unity Engine for BTS) etc to make a proper remaster of BTS while it might have been a more difficult task to port LIS 1 (That is a Unreal Engine game) over to another engine, make sure everything is working correctly and then do the updates to textures, adding motion capture for more natural faces and everything else included with these remasters.

I JUST REALIZED. Chloe did the blue streak in her hair on the left side to match with Rachael's feather earring. It's such a small detail, but it's huge when you notice that Chloe did it because she both loved and admired Rachael. Chloe only did the one part because she was still unsure about how she felt, but she did it because she admired Rachael. In the end when she dyed all of it blue, I see that as Chloe coming to full terms that she loves Rachael with everything that she's got.

@@feldecat2x800 Unfortunately, Deck Nine doesn't own the rights to Life Is Strange 2. They only currently have the rights to Life Is Strange, Before the Storm and True Colors. Dontnod still has the rights to the second game, it's really up to them to remaster it.

YES!! This is what I was waiting for!! Life is Strange: Before the Storm. Simply phenomenal. The best of the Life is Strange series so far, in my opinion. No superpowers needed to make an interesting, full of action, quality game. It's more grounded and real than the others, with relatable characters and the stuff they're going through, beautiful and emotional music, atmospheric spaces, intense and touching events that definitely move you. Despite its flaws, the teenage drama, and the plot holes that were here and there in the attempt to connect this game with the original one, I simply fell for it. It’s changed my life to the core, and gave me feelings I’ve never experienced before. I cannot describe how I feel about it because it’s a lot more than a video game to me. It’s a goddamn experience, a part of my life, no matter how cheesy this may sound. And now, the most beautiful game to me, became even more beautiful 💙 Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Deck Nine.

This remaster looks ten times better than the one for the original game. The only criticism that I have is Rachel's makeup; it's too intense and makes her look a lot older than 15. Rachel's original look was perfect the way it was.

@Jay Laliberte No, they weren't. If you recall, BtS took place in Spring 2010 during Chloe and Rachel's sophomore year of high school, which meant that they were either 15 or 16. Chloe had already turned 16 because she was born in March, but Rachel was still 15 because her birthday wasn't until July. Anyway, their exact ages are beside the point. I still don't like Rachel's makeup here, and I think it makes her look way too mature, lol. Plus, her subtler makeup and cat eye suit her character much better. Her makeup in the remaster seems more like something she would've worn to a rock concert, where she was able to freely be a 'bolder and wilder Rachel' rather than the perfect princess that everyone at school perceived her to be.

Personally, all I see if facially smoothness turned up and increased exposure. It kills any freckles, wrinkles, ect the characters originally had. It’s more noticeable in dark exposure scenes where they look extremely cake faced. How is this “remaster” worth more than $30??? Lol.

The graphics are amazing!!! You can actually read the emotions on their faces. With how great their graphics are getting I hope they make their next main character a non-verbal Deaf Black Boy. Here me out, it's not as a big of a leap as it might seem. In fact I think it fits the trend with the last few games perfectly. The games tend to jump back and forth between male and female main characters, and they tend to jump to different ethnic groups each game. Life is Strange(Max-White Girl) Life is Strange 2(Sean-Latino Boy) Life is Strange: True Colors(Alex-Asian Girl). Having a black boy just makes sense, but the reason I think he should be Deaf is that it's a good logistical decision. Deaf culture has become more and more popular thanks to deaf actors, actresses and characters becoming more prominent in modern storytelling. I think it can add an interesting element to the game if you as the main character were trying to discover the truth behind a dark conspiracy or solve a small town murder mystery and you were Deaf. I would have the main character only sign and if someone is interacting with the main character only partial subtitles would come up if they are verbally speaking and if someone is facing away from you the word won't come up at all(Example: Only easily noticeable words would pop up in the subtitles and if a word has the same mouth movement as another word they can be mixed up Another Example: "I __most got ________ by a drain!" What was actually said: "I almost got ran over by a train!"). But if they are signing all subtitles would come up correctly. My idea for a power is that this character is a Precog with a slight extra-sensory ability. My idea is that he can sense objects or people that he needs to touch. Once he touches them he'll have a flashes of the future, but the images will have no context and most of the time the images will be out of order. He can "concentrate" and see the same flashes again, but if he sees the same flashes of the future three times his nose will begin to bleed and he won't be able to sense anything for a while. I think this power could add an interesting element to the game. Maybe he's trying to prevent a murder or a disappearance. Maybe it trying to prevent an oncoming crisis. Either way even if this power concept isn't used I would definitely still encourage you to make him to be Black and Deaf. When Deaf characters are shown in stories they are usually white, completely verbal, and conveniently completely reliant on lip-reading. I feel like having a non-verbal Deaf character will be a great leap in representation, and since every main character of these games have been bisexual it would be cool to show the realism of the Deaf Queer community on top of properly representing the Deaf Black community. This piece of representation would mean so much to so many people. I would definitely encourage you to go down this road. It will be worth it.
