@@cursey7304 I wouldn't call her fanbase small, given , at the time of writing, with 3.75 million of YT channel subscribers and roughly 840 million views. There are countless, seemingly way more popular artists, with way smaller numbers on their YT channels. And of course, there are some with much larger numbers, such as for example Billie Eilish, which stated that Aurora's 'Runaway' mv triggered her to start a career in music.

@mad64572 жыл бұрын
@@shelfwarrior42 no idea where you live, but as little example, in my country, Aurora had two gigs this year, well sized venues, both gigs were sold out 6 months in advance. And approaching 5 mio subs on youtube and close to 700 mio views with Runaway subtracted (~1.2 billion with), tell that she's by now way more known than many other artist. And that Hans Zimmer, definitely very well known, recently called her to be the vocalist for his soundtrack for the BBC Frozen Planet II series, did not happen just like that. But of course, depending on what kind of music one generally prefers, one never may learn about Aurora. And that's just fine. There are artists that are much much more known that Aurora, but also many that are less. And this is what it is.

I completely understand that. I just want you to know that you're not alone. It's okay to feel that pain. I recently found myself sobbing watching a que full of Auroras live concerts. I realized I'd been holding in all of that pain since before I got clean, from never grieving the loss of my parents (we had very tumultuous relationships) and since becoming disabled and never grieving the loss of my health. That crying rolled into the next day, as did watching all of those live performances again. Something about her way of expressing emotion and pain broke something down inside me. I'd never heard of her before this year. Now I have regular days where I'll put her music on and have what feels like more healthy crying sessions. I hope all of that made sense. I'm rooting for you to find peace and I know what self-medicating is like. I'm just sending you the biggest internet hug.

This is a great interviewer! He initially asked her about her childhood and she responded saying she believes we are strong enough to not let our childhood define us. But later he gets her to admit that music was her coping mechanism as a child, a way for her to raise questions and make her own answers. She also mentioned her being sensitive to her feelings and being bad at dealing with everything around her and she then continues to talk about her childhood. It takes a good interviewer/speaker/listener to get that out of someone so casually! Great job! 👍🏽👊🏽

I´ve watched a lot and I mean A LOT of interviews of Aurora over the years but I have to say that this one has to be the best of them all. Over an hour of deep, interesting and unique questions! It was an absolute pleasure to listen to all of her thoughts 😍 I never really thought about it this way but when Aurora talked about what the concerts mean to her it just clicked. Her shows are a safespace for all the repressed emotions we have! Everybody who attends an Aurora concert knows why they are there and that they can just experience all the emotions that come to them without any judgement because the know that all the other warriors around them feel the exact same way and are just glad that they have finally found a place on the earth and a group of people where they can be truly themselves. This is such an amazing view on concerts and the music she creates ♥️♥️♥️ She creates music and art not because it sounds nice or brings her fame/money but because it helps her and all the people that listen to her mentally! I really believe that she would even create music (or any other form of art) if she couldn´t sing or play instruments at all, just because it isn´t about the form of art that she creates but about the atmosphere and feeling that this creative process generates 😍🤯🤯 After this interview I love our little norwegian faery even more 😂♥️ Oh my lordy lord!

She is correct about school not doing a good job identifying certain types of children. Me as I child in school that routinely got “he is not applying himself!”. Years later in late in college I learned that I had ADHD and once treated it was like flicking on a light switch. The emotion damage from “not applying myself” has caused many mental health issues throughout my adulthood.

I am grateful she has been privileged enough from the beginning to be able to somewhat comfortably negate accommodations (or better said, her parents decided for her) but it's clear she is autistic and adhd, even if she herself chooses to believe some people are just magical and introverted. Life is not a fairy tale and I'm just concerned about her mental health going forward without professionally addressing some key aspects of herself while dealing with such amount of fame and hard work for every tour. She needs to be protected at all costs.

For me, a fantastic interview. I was very worried that the psychologist would try to go pretty hard in AURORA's personal life. He succeeds well in being objective and sensitive with his questions. I myself have some nasty sessions with psychologists. Enough about that. I have followed AURORA for several years now and probably seen most of what is on YT about her and this is by far the best interview with her. Even though I missed a bit of her slightly quirky side. Many were things that I had heard before, but that she says that she started pinging on the piano when she was five instead of what you heard before six was an important detail. Listening to her gives so much. The most interesting part for me was when they discussed the power of the media and the last third was so rewarding. I usually say that she is my healer and the thing is that it is her tone and voice that does it, not always where she says. Then I must add that I really do not worship her but she is probably the closest I will come to loving someone without actually meeting her. This is not an artist spectacle but a fairly deep conversation between two people and perfect starter for those who want to get to know her more (but definitely not everything, luckily) This got a little long and certainly not many is going to read it. just want to apologize my bad English

Aurora provides as much, if not more, value to me in just being herself than in being a musician that I listen to. Don't get me wrong, her music is fantastic, her voice is absolutely unreal, but it really isn't the sort of style I listen to. I have to brace myself for it because it's almost like "spiritual Drano" lol. Not the kind of stuff I always turn to in most situations. However, it's the messages and the energy and spirit that goes into making it that intrigues me so much. It's her! I think I get even more out of her interviews and just witnessing her being so free as a person than in listening to her songs. She's one of the most fascinating people on the planet, by far. Her very existence is medicinal. And she likes Metal bands like Gojira and has preformed with Norse Pagan bands like Wardruna...The range of her interests and her art is incredible and she's the sweetest person I've ever seen. Normally, someone that sweet would almost make me cringe because I can tell when it's a bit forced at times. NEVER have I seen Aurora "force" anything. The fact that she's genuinely like that and it isn't just an act for the cameras is so amazing. You can tell. She's the real deal holy feel. I simply can't get over how interesting she is.

Far and away the best Aurora interview I've seen/heard.....and I've seen/heard all of them. Would love to see a part 2 at some point in the future! Got my fingers crossed!

I wish to someday meet you my cognitive/spiritual sister. In my early years I felt so isolated from others due to some of my unique traits. As I got older and gathered more and more data I realized that no matter how much I may feel lonely, disconnected or isolated the truth is that they are just feelings my brain processes and the reality is that all of us, every single one is connected to everyone and everything in this universe.

First interviewer I see who is going with the flow with her...and that allowed her so much to be herself which is a dream come true to most of us who want nothing but to listen to what’s going on in her head

I guess the most prominent problem why people are hiding their emotions and cover them is the fear of being exploited by others for them. To show your real emotions makes you vulnerable and unfortunately there are a lot of people out there that use this vulnerability against you for their own (pretended) advantage. Most people experienced this in their life and it hurt ... of course it hurts. So this is a pure self defense from not being abused for your shown emotions. And also in a competetive and performance driven society, emotions are not seen as very productive. Which is sad in itself, but it prevents you from being productive like a robot, but that's what most bosses expect. So the activity that ensures our material existence (work) mostly doesn't allow to show emotions openly. And that shapes and leaves a big footprint in the human mind. I wish people would stop this abuse and start to adjust expectations to a healthy human nature.

I believe she's on the Spectrum ASD...more like a mild Asperger's. I work with kids with ASD( Autism Spectrum Disorder) Everything she said fits, except the empath part. Persons with ASD can really be unique so not every box is checked...she's also learned by herself how to deal with the symptoms...because she is so insightful of her own self and of others. I have many symptoms and some not at all. That's why it's a spectrum.

I did not expect to sit through this entire video minutes beyond my bedtime, but everything that was said was just so beautiful, real, and human, and kind. The manner in which it was said and the conversation between Sir Ebenezer and Aurora was so kindred, safe, and beautiful. I found myself moved, saddened, and joyful to the point of tears at several points. Thank you for this. What a light you are in these dark times, Aurora. I am forever grateful for having met you and your fantastic music online. Thank you very very much to both of you and everyone who has made this talk possible as well, it was lovely and very insightful.

Besides every topic and every wise word she said in the interview I think the thing I like the most is the way she looks to the ceiling, the way she looks to nowhere when talking and processing the ideas. I highly identify with this as a non native English speaker. When I look nowhere I feel like I'm looking into my soul, the thoughts and opinions just come to my mouth. Aurora is such an incredible human as all we know, but these little things make me love her more and more.

The best interview with Aurora that I've seen. I was thinking a lot about the way Aurora must be when she's feeling down, because of course she's human like all of us. Despite her songs being proof that she understands many dark aspects of the world, you don't really see her be too open about her own personal struggles. It makes me feel happy to hear her talk in detail about it, because a lot of us who go through exactly the same thing can feel listened to.

I've watched this a few times and you cannot be anything other than inspired by this young girl.so open and so honest in everything she says,I have ad the pleasure of seeing her live in concert and the overwhelming thing I took away with me was her humility and genuine love for her fans, there were times at the concert which you can also see in this interview where her shyness comes to the fore, and it's a beautiful shyness for I genuinely believe that she dose not know how great a artist/performer she is,it's a quality that you don't see very often in people.she is a very special human very grounded and you know that what ever music she produces in her life it will always come from her heart and the things she believes in.it would be wonderful if we all had a friend like aurora.❤️🍏❤️

Of all the interviews I've seen her do (hundreds, easily), this one is by far one of the best in my opinion. It was so insightful, organic and authentic. Loved that it was a really long one too! (you could've gone Joe Rogan episode long and I would've stayed for the whole thing lol). It's been really fun and interesting seeing her develop over the years. Not only as an artist, but in the way she's evolved personally in her thinking and the ways she communicates her thoughts and ideas. Our little Aurora is growing up right before our eyes (lol) and it's such a wonderful experience to be able to witness. The only thing I would've asked for (other than more time lol) is more funny, creative or uplifting topics and questions. Of course, that might not necessarily be the main goal or focus on this channel, but I loved it all the same :) Hopefully she'll come back again some day!

This was really wonderful. I think sharing this conversation in a therapy type setting is an excellent way to promote the importance of mental health and to diminish some of the stigma around seeking help. Therapy sessions are very personal, but I wonder how many people could be inspired to seek assistance if the people they look up to shared conversations like this. It can be really therapeutic just to speak with a professional who knows how to ask the right questions and guide a conversation.

Wow, great interview, totally worth my time! She is a beautiful soul with high emotional intelligence. I wish I was like that when I was younger. I am an -old - INFP like her, so I can relate to most of the things she says. Don't judge hard on yourself, don't judge others hard, take things day by day, give yourself silence, connect with nature, cut yourself off from the daily bad news in the press, cut yourself off from the competitive social media, never bury the playful child inside of you, prefer eye to eye contact above chat, show your feelings, don't be ashamed to be vulnarable and just human, be honest and loyal, enjoy the privileges of the COVID-periode as any introvert loves this (made me smile), tell people simply when you're not okay. She is really blessed and she knows it.

I finished now to listen, very carefully, to Aurora's words. In little more than an hour she explained, taking herself as an example, all the best practices I have learned in a lifetime. I agree to any single word she said, and I think this discussion should be shared and spread as most as possible. Is already there a transcript of this interview? I'd like to translate it to Italian, or better to write Italian subtitles, just for sharing with people who cannot speak English.

It is so amazing to be given this kind of insight to an artist at the height of her creative powers, I hope everyone realizes how unusual it is for an artist to take such a deep dive into herself publicly and how lucky we are to be given such insight into such a generationally talented artist. Aurora has normalized being a transparently open genius pop star and done it so effortlessly and charmingly it is easy to forget what a trail she has blazed and how much she has made being emotionally available and honest seem normal and right within the music business and without

My parents would tell me “stop crying or I will give you something to cry about” so as I grew I just stopped feeling I am trying to but most of my reactions to things are what I think people would do I don’t actually feel that way but I have always been empathetic I can feel other’s emotions and it can be healing but so draining.

@@SourPeachHeart to clarify, she does not have perfect pitch, I've seen her ask for starting notes on several different a capella sets. Not denying she has an ear for music. Clearly she does. Recently I've heared people online claim many different artists have perfect pitch, when the majority of them just have relative pitch or an ear for music. Relative pitch is a lot more common than people think, many people have it naturally, and many others have developed it through music training.

Aurora is very Empathetic to other peoples' sadness. Not Selfish at all. Rare characteristic. "Macho Culture" is very real. Men DO have more difficulties, with emotion, I think due to deeply imbedded instincts, to be strong and protect the ones they love. I believe, showing any weakness is foreign and Men are somewhat taught to hide emotion rather than show more. I think the Feminine Perspective is becoming stronger, by the day and I think some Men are confused and need guidance to realize a more peaceful world. I think Aurora is a Positive FREE soul, a Futurist, if you can imagine, who can see the road FAR ahead. Very Brave and seemingly living, in the moment, with a clear eye, to the future. Open and able to express emotion Well, especially through her Music. Strong Emotions. Mother's advice, "you should share her music it is selfish to keep medicine away, from people". Bravo MOM!!!! So Humble. She did mention that she doesn't like to write, when she is sad. I believe, she will write more when she is sad and those may be her BEST musical material, in the future. Not that I am wishing her sadness, being young she will undoubtedly experience more, in life. A lot of times Artists can produce their best after let's say a breakup or maybe heartbreak. Again, I wish her the best but being older, myself there is more life and sometimes obstacles that us humans go through. Great perspectives on worshipping People and media's role in society. Re: pandemic, "Introverts need to help the Extroverts" True definition of Strength though vaguely misunderstood! Brilliantly said!! Great Interviewer Gudmundor Ebenezer!!!!
