I love the Z flip 3, I’m an iPhone user and it made me put my iPhone aside, I just can’t get enough of it, the honeymoon phase hasn’t passed yet, I’m just in love with it. I know battery it’s horrible, but it works for me.

I think if you're a fairly heavy user and by that I mean lots of video ect you're probably going to struggle. My flip is arriving in the next few days and I'm expecting it to be fine for me for my usage, my 4a 5G is 100% @ 530am and after tethering/KZbin/Spotify and Bluetooth on all day I get home at 4pm with about 50%, it's nearly 10pm now and I've 25% I'm confident the flip 3 will return the same sort of results🤞 😬

The Z Flip3 was what made me finally switch from my iPhone. I'm a huge minimalist and make it a point that I ensure everything in my tech usage is deliberate. The Flip3 forces me to really *want* to have to flip the phone open to do anything, which has helped me keep it from getting in the way of my life.

Actually I’m iOS user for several years (iPhones + iPad) and was fanatic to them but the z flip 3 made me change my mind completely and made me fall in love to “Android” for reasons : 1- The design which is unique for a smartphone , 2- The flexibility in usage with the outside screen , 3- The variety of applications more than iPhone . So I took the decision to get z flip 3 and Samsung galaxy S7+ (tablet) . Thanks Samsung for changing my mind towards the Android system 🎩 Hope Apple stop (enslaving) its fans ✋

Samsung was little bit late with delivery of pre-orders in India but luckily I received my unit yesterday. It's been ages since I felt so satisfied with the ergonomics and aesthetics of a smartphone (last one that made my jaws drop was iPhone 5S/SE). I switched from Note 20 ultra and don't feel any downgrade, apart from little bit less battery backup for my usage and quality drop in selfie camera and no 60fps video recording in ultrawide lens. But I can look past these if this device proves to be durable through time. So far, this is amazing and absolutely in love with it!

being an apple enthusiast since 2007. I have literally purchased everything with an apple logo behind. My current phone after 14 years: Z FLIP 3!!! GOT BORED with the same form factor of phones. Also Samsung is 3 years now in folding phones. Apple will not join till 2023-2024. So kudos to samsung. My money went to the flip this year and i love it!!!! Sorry apple.....stop making "pride" products and start inventing once again

I've been with apple since the iphone 4. recently got the S22 Ultra and I appreciate a "change of scenery." I didn't realize how often I'd use multitasking until I did. How the ipad can do it but the iphone can't, who knows. It's nice to try different things. I think after nearly a decade of being an apple customer, it's time for something new.

I switched from an iPhone 12 to the Flip 3 and I love it! The Flip 3 feels so much more refreshing of a design than any iPhone. And despite being on the same carrier, same plan, the 5G on the Flip 3 feels a little more reliable and faster than my iPhone. Camera's seem pretty on-par with the iPhone 12, which was honestly already more than what I really needed from a phone. Battery is a non-issue since I don't really find myself using the main display that much, I actually use the cover screen a lot more than I thought I would.

So as an avid android user. The thing I find most hilarious about this review is about 90% of the features you listed have been on android phones for quite some time now. And most of the drawbacks you listed are specific to the fodable phones as they are new tech and by comparison a traditional android flagship phone wouldn't have those minor issues as that tech has been perfected over the years

Man you learning about android quicker than ever. I don't know of security is an issue on android. Though android requires you to be a tad smarter than apple users because it won't always block the bad stuff, you are the administrator, you're the brain, use your brain, that's android security because with such a wide gamet comes caveats and it's just inevitable (But I wish android oems focus more on the ui smoothness the way apple does, just can't get over iPhone's animations)

Copy and paste works in Android just like iOS, just long press and highlight the text and select copy. Go where you want to paste, long press then tap paste.

Haha. So there are no actual issues with Android notifications. I was going to say that Apple users have no leg to stand on when it comes to notifications. Apple notifications are just completely broken. I also never understood the whole swiping up after you've already unlocked the screen. That's so annoying. Great review, though. 😀

After 6 months of use, couple of light lines showed up exactly where the phone folds and after a week or so, half of the screen started flashing an intermittent light exactly where the text box appears. Do I have to say that founding and touching the phone damages it?? Samsung service said that I water damaged the mother board witch isn’t true. Of course warranty does not cover it. I knew I would have headache with this phone but didn’t think I would burn my money like this. It should be illegal selling this phone. I can’t forget to say that with a minor drop, outside screen stops working. Look it up z flip second hand for sale, u won’t find one with that screen working

Does beeper allow you to start group chats in imessages or have customizable group chats with iphone users? I know rn I have a lot of 'named' group chats and I don't want to lose that. also, how does beeper do with reactions and replies in imessage?

Copy paste is easy. Just hold your finger for a second or two over the text u want to copy. Doesn't matter where as a drag box will appear and you can select the exact text. Then just click copy or whatever other option you require from the menu that will appear. Simples! :P

You can also set the notification so part of the screen lowers and you can type the reply right there or mark as read instead of just a pop-up box to read it.

I owned 1 iPhone. It was terrible. You needed iTunes to do anything. The music I bought from iTunes, won't work on any other devices I own. You couldn't even transfer files, without iTunes. Every time I transferred anything, I lost my play lists. And to get anything done with your phone, you needed to make an appointment to do it. Even to buy something.

I love that pop up is disabled, I've had awful stressful moments when watching something and suddenly I have to press the notification zone but some notification appears and it's like a " coincidence " you know what I mean and then what I was doing gets disturbed cause the notification I concidencialy clicked OPENS so I have notifications pop up off cause that has happened to me more than you can imagine si I'm glad about this " con " he mentions lol

It's weird. Razr 5G is better built to be a flip phone but it's also the best *unflip* phone. Can remain small. The Flip 3 is the superior device but is a tall phone that just folds in half.

Prepare to carry a battery pack and/or a charging brick and cable with you everywhere you go. Even with 120Hz turned off and 5G disabled, this device can barely get through to dinner. We’ve had every one that has been sold returned but one. And that was a farmer who only uses it for calls and text messaging.

I thing they put the fingerprint to the unlock button because when it is in the screen it is slower. Also yes in android face id is not secure enough but also i would not prefer it in iphone too because especially these times face id makes things harder because of the masks.

I had a samsung flip 3 for 6 months then the phone was broken. The sound did not work anymore and the screen was broken in the middle. I went to the samsung service centre and they told me that it was my fault and that the phone was damaged by falling. They gave me no new phone and said i could repair it for 450 euro. I told them that the phone had never fallen , they didnt believe me and i was treated as a little child. What the F......K 6 months and it was broken. No Flip or samsung for me anymore.

True. Flipping it open can get tiresome. Samsung just didn't make the cover display big enough and more useful enough. But I got used to it. Razr 5G does it much better. Flip 3 is better for media playback.

@@funkam0nkey Honestly don't believe the hate on the battery life you can easily make it a full day. I've literally have gotten 6-7 hours screen on time before but I normally get 5-6 hours. A full charge will last 14 hours. And I don't use anything crazy. All I did was put my unused apps that run in the background to "rest" and all the ones I use like social media, music etc. They run like normal. No gimmicks, 120hz, 5G. So yah if you're actually interested in it, I recommend giving it a shot if you can. Plus just also be smart with using it. Don't leave GPS on when you aren't using it. Use WiFi when you're at home. Wifi calling is a blessing if your carrier supports it. Hope some of my info was able to help you 🙂
