Lifelong Learning Lecture Series: What Is It About Time and Human Nature in the Time of Covid?

As Covid ebbs, we all wonder which of the many changes we’ve made to our lives will stand the test of time. One of them is our relationship with time. In the months we were locked down, protectively gowned, and home-bound by isolation, we experienced time in new ways. But what is time?
Dr. McKenna discusses the nature of time, including a brief history of its measurement and how the most precise clocks in human hands would lose only a fraction of a second over a 13 billion year lifetime of the universe. Then he widens the discussion to a representative of time in different branches of science, music, art, and literature, and finally to the question that all of us have post-pandemic: What is it about time and human nature in the time of covid?
