This man is a giant of Britain, just consider how right he was and how totally unwavering he was for his values - which are values of mercy and decency, brotherhood and unity. God Bless you Heseltine.

BRING BACK THIS MAN ! HE WAS THE BEST PM BRITAIN NEVER HAD ! BASICALLY ALL DECISIONS MADE BY THE PEOPLE WITH THEIR VOTES ARE WRONG ! SOMETIMES IT IS OBVIOUS PRETTY QUICK ( BORIS); FOR SOME IT TAKES DECADES ! IF SIR HASELTINE WOULD HAVE FOLLOWED THATCHER AS PM THE UK WOULD BE IN A VERY DIFFERENT POSITION NOW ! HE HAD THE GREAT PICTURE; THINKING AHEAD DECADES AND FOR COMING GENERATIONS !

The so-called "majority" in the referendum was not only extremely narrow, it was not even a majority at all. Within 48 hours of the referendum, two people I know (separately) who had voted to leave assured me that we'd still be in the EEA and still have freedom of movement. Others have since said the same, some said they wanted a "Canada deal", others said they wanted no deal, and just about everything in-between. Nobody knows how many of them would have voted Remain if they'd known what would actually be implemented, and with a result as close as 52-48, it is extremely unlikely that any one clearly defined version of "Leave" would have won. So, Piers Morgan, you can shove your so-called "democratic wish of the majority of the British people" where the sun doesn't shine! Then there's all the other corruption in that referendum, like disenfranchising many Brits abroad, and as Lord Heseltine mentioned it was based on a pack of lies. And that is without even getting into all the other problems with deciding on something as complex and important as this by a referendum, for the reasons outlined in this article. www.irishtimes.com/opinion/rule-by-referendum-is-not-the-best-way-to-make-decisions-1.2233896 Since I consider a referendum to be totally unsuitable for such a decision, of course I don't agree with Lord Heseltine that another referendum was the answer either. It should have been handled by finding out what the underlying reasons were why half of the country wants in and the other half wants out, address those issues directly and work toward the solution that best meets the real needs and wishes of everyone.

THE SO-CALLED "MAJORITY" ARE IN THIS CASE 17,6 Million out of a population of 68 Million = 25 % of the population of the UK. BY PUTTING THEM INTO THE APPARATUS OF A PUBLIC ELECTION THEY TURNED TO A 52% "MAJORITY" . IT WAS THE BIG MISTAKE OF AN UNEXPERIENCED PM CAMERON TO MAKE THIS HIGHLY COMPLEX ISSUE TO A PUBLIC VOTE IN THE FIRST PLACE !
