Awesome Video Matty! very professional and safe. Dam she's a massive tree! By the time you de-limb it and have the bulk 10m+ of trunk, would it still be too heavy to shift to a shed to mill? Will he be milling where it lay?

sweet bit of mahi right there, no need for some hotrod saw with a 50 inch bar, just using what you have. How do you rate the stihl against the 395?
@LifeofaBushman4 жыл бұрын
395 has more power but 500 better all round saw light fuel injected easier to maintain the list goes on☺️

My grandfather lives next door to me. He’s always surprised with the size of trees I’m dropping. He’s changed my name to Paul now because of the number of saws I have and the fact one of them has a 36” bar! We have big trees here in Northern California in the USA. I get to fall three foot diameter and 150 feet tall often. But nothing with the size you dropped here today.

Seen bigger bars ;)... jokes aside wood like this a 32 is good because at this size of trunk it's like precision engineering... bloody entertaining... seen few macrocarpa come down on farms, and often the forestry workers run a stupidly long one for cutting the core with wedges, and a 32 bar for cutting scarfs. I am impressed for tree this size seeing it done with only 32 it's bloody good work. There is honestly no correct way to cut a thicc macrocarpa, the largest I have seen was 3 clones planted close together made kind of weird fluting with tons of rot on a 5m wide stump but more of a strange rectangle that was 2m by 5m that only had 3m of useless soggy wood, made for a hilarious watch as kid though, yay for shit health safety on Sunday laugh session with the local forestry squad... ...man I miss being a kid in the 90's, haha Keep posting this channel is such great slice of the kiwi life...
@LifeofaBushman4 жыл бұрын
Yea man I new it would be close ! Cutting some of the fluting around the outside helped aswell, thanks for the comment awesome👍👍👍

OMG...were did you learn to fall a tree....is it a down under thing....dangerous man come to Southern Oregon let us show how to fell big trees....how you like the i500 stihl...after stihl did such a poor job with the 441 here in the states...they are trying it out last 2 years before they release them here in the fall. Take care Shoe
@tobyyoung64404 жыл бұрын
I don’t see anything dangerous about that whole process? I would have peeled it over with the exact same cuts. Feel free to correct me big timber cutter!
