Msc Musica Aurea Suite Experience Mediterranean Cruise Review!

Hi everyone! I'm taking you along with me on my MSC Musica cruise line journey.
I'm giving a detailed review for my Aurea Suite experience on MSC Musicia for a 7 day cruise in the Mediterranean Sea!

I booked the Aurea suite (room 15002 if you want to look up the cabin).
With taxes, the room came out to be $3,656,64. I booked through Expedia (this is not sponsored by the way). I did so because it gave me $200 on board credit. This credit came in handy because it covered most of the $10.49 per day, per person automatic tips you were forced to pay. That basically wiped out my entire credit allowance.

Video Notes:
DISEMBARKING: At first, getting out of the bus was a bit confusing. What made it easier was being able to line up in the Aurea lines which was priority check-ins. A huge plus for getting the expensive package. I really felt the Aurea advantage.
BOARDING: Once inside you scan your ticket and they take a picture of you.
You will get your own boarding card in your room. This card will be your identification for your entire trip, as well as serving as a room key and credit card. Don't lose this card or else they will charge you a fee to replace it.
AUREA PACKAGE: it includes EVERYTHING: all drinks including alcoholic drinks, ice cream, spa, VIP deck, priority boarding and disembarkation. Unlimited bottled water was worth it! If you are trying to save money, then bring a water container to fill water from the buffet. Our package also comes with a free cocktail at the spa
SHIP DETAILS: The MSC Musica has a VIP Deck. They guard the entrance with a bouncer who checks your ID to see if you're allowed to go up. This is basically a private deck that has a higher vantage point compared to the public decks. You get a better view up here as well as a private bar and shower. There isn't much to do here - the only benefit that is that you get to be away from all the crowds!
MSC MUSICA CRUISE CONS:
- Ship is packed with potentially rude people.
- People were often herded into bottlenecks
- Cruise gave special treatment to people that traveled in large groups with their own tour guide. They had special passes to disembark the ship earlier than everyone else. I paid a lot extra to be able to get the special pass to disembark first but I was placed behind those groups.
MSC MUSICA CRUISE PROS:
- Amazing value for the price
- Ship was clean, EVERY DAY
- Staff = super friendly and helpful
- Food: really good variety and quality for a cruise line. Better than any I have been on.
- Package value: amazing, due to minimal nickle and diming plus we enjoyed the included unlimited alcohol and spa access
EXCURSIONS: I didn't book any excursions from the cruise line because they were overpriced and they are always packed in a large bus with a lot of people.
What I did was booked all of the excursions on my own. For almost every stop I had a personal tour guide.
The tour guides were all very familiar with the cruise ship's stops. So they are aware of where to pick you up and what time they should drop you off so you won't miss your ship.

We did a carnival cruise on their spa ship where the whole too front deck was this giant spa. Fun. We did get a little sea sick from the motion of the ship. Did you?? We would do a cruise again. 😉

Hi Lin, Thanks for a great video. I've booked cabin 15001 for the December 2021 cruise season in South Africa. Did you have access to the balcony at the front of the ship on deck 15. Passengers in cabin 15003 & 15004 have access to it.

Did the wall coming into the balcony block your view? Did it bother you? Could you still look around it to the front - I am in the process of choosing a cabin and I like the fact that your cabin was on the end.
