Nice video . . . Passenger under braking . . . I had that issue on my xt660x with my son until I had the ecu flashed. . . One of the options was to have the deceleration fuel cut off turned off . . . This made a nice difference and eased the harsh engine braking , made rolling on the throttle a smooth transition. . Well worth the money.

Get yourself a 'pillion pal'. Oxford do one called 'Grips'. I got one for my daughter and I'd never carry pillion without it now.

I am looking into a complete seat replacement because actually I do find the standard seat uncomfortable myself for longer rides

Try turning the preload up a few click when your taking the gf out. Easy to do, no tools needed and it's located in front of the back wheel. You can't miss it, it's a big black knob. Pleased to see your enjoying the T7, I love mine 👍

great review - just came across is one, i subbed watching the ghostrider comeback vid - i was thinking, reckon if the pillion seat had a non slip covering with a bit more padding, maybe some rubber / epdm layer on top, would it make more of a difference to the comfort or sliding back and forth?

That was so cool your bike you and Nicole seemed to be a natural at two upping it! Before this ride primarily you guys experience at pillioning has been on holidays riding those tiny scooters we’ve seen you two on? Back in the day my wife and I used to do two up runs on the cb750 and that truly was some of our best memories together. Part of me was expecting you were going to turn off onto a tame green-lane🤣

Previous experience was the scooter you're right! And that can be real sketchy where as the Tenere well its in a different league two up so Nicole loves it!. We were out on it today and I did suggest a green lane haha and whilst I am tempted I wouldn't feel safe for Nicole until the bike had suitable offroad tyres but certainly a future video once it does!

Seemed to handle that very well and tbh the numb bum thing as you'll probably know yourself is just through a lack of riding, if I don't ride a bike for a month or so then get on, I tend to get a bit numb and stiff, especially if I'm just bimbling along and not really using my body weight much... Seems like the ideal 2 up machine.

Just bought one. Where did you get the rear foot pegs. Mine didn’t come with them. I’ve googled it still can’t find them.

Previous owner has removed them on your bike. They come as standard

Sort of not possible 😅 I didn't spec the pillion package to ensure I got the red cover instead. It wouldn't be great though I am certain of that

Off topic..... a friend of mine is in Ibiza right now and she missed her booking at Mambos somehow.... they offered her an alternative table for €480! Needless to say she's decided to go hungry and sitting on the salt rocks right now waiting for a cloudy sunset.

Is the t7 world raid seat more comfortable for your passenger?

@@the_freedom_quest don’t know…kinda depends on the passengers bum I think? I don’t have the experience of carrying a passenger on the normal t7 but on the world raid I had 2 passengers one skinny woman and one big bum woman. The skinny woman said her bum hurt after 45min, the other one had no complaints.

I'm 6'2 ("1,88 cm,) and the height of the T7 fits me well. Don't know how will a passenger fit on a t7 coz i will mostly ride with my gf. other option is a tracer 7 but then i won't fit there :p. Nice informative video

The tracer is more of an mt07 with added plastic, you and passenger are squashed together. It's def not the small sports Tourer yam claim it is.

Iv learned when I have my girl on the back and it feels like she's going back and forth against me to much that I shift without the clutch to make the ride a bit more smooth and I get out of first gear right away and if I'm doing slow speeds I keep it in second. Also if I know I'm going to stop I'll pull in the clutch and coast for a while.

We were out again today and I have to say I have improved massively... yes agree to coasting and also with gear changes I do an ever so partial throttle on acceleration where possible and leave gear changes that bit longer so when I eventually change we are not so much as accelerating at the point of change
