Hi Smokey! Small tip from the owner: you can use CarPlay without headset. Just hold “back” button for a few seconds on that annoying screen and it will boot up. Now the most obvious thing, but at least it is possible.

You can easilly switch between carplay view & bike dash on main screen by toggling switch on left side towards yourself(the one in front of high beam/low beam, which has phone/voice command & 3 squares) Also - a must "upgrade" is to get some wireless carplay/AA dongle, as then you don't need headset for it to work always (even tho - I haven't had a need for headset when had phone wired anyway) Having 2023 model, love it.

Over the last fifty years I’ve used many bikes to ride many miles. For my money, the Africa Twin is one of the best “touring” best bikes ever produced. But . . . the butt matters and an aftermarket seat is likely necessary and you’ve gotta love the engine’s relaxed thrumming character.

Pleased the CarPlay is doing the same as my 2020 model. You can’t rush it after start up. Brilliant when it’s all working correctly though

Actually Smokey, you don’t have to connect a headset for the Apple Carplay. You can just override it by pressing and keeping pressed “back” when asked for a headset connection. Of course having your phone tethered the whole time All you AT guys can thank me later. 👋

It seems to me that the AT AS dct is everything you might need for touring in the EU. No need to splash out on a expensive GS, maybe unless you ride 2up. 200km/h is enough for me.

What the hell you enjoy on the "Autobahn" specially with an Africa Twin? I avoid highways on a bike even it's the longer distance to anywhere. Regards of a Honda VFR 1200 Crosstourer rider!

en mi atas 2024 dct he tenido que comprar cupula mas alta y ancha por que no protege y si pongo el asiento en posicion alta menos aun, mido 1,81 cm. El asiento es incomo pasado los 300 kms en el.tengo que buscar una solucion mi culo mal. Gracias por compartir.Salu2 Pako

the poor technology of honda is they dont know how to add screen mirroring on a chinese tft. because the tft they bought from china is the cheaper one to cut cost. regular chinese mid range bike has screen mirroring which is basic. poor honda, they still be using lcd display as of now if it werent for the invention of chinese tft. haha.
