Steph, i live in a small town in SC, and 6 kids were arrested yesterday from 6 different schools around us that did the same thing. It's a very scary world we are living in now. All my kids are grown, but I have grandbabies in school, and i worry myself sick, and so does their Momma. All we can do is pray and stay vigilant and on our toes.

Congratulations on your 20k been with you from the first. The school situations are very scary. All of my grandchildren have been in active shooter situations at their schools, two more than once. I pray for them and their teachers and school leaders. One of my granddaughters is now an elementary vice principal. I pray for all of us. I’m ready to meet my maker, I pray for those that aren’t and try to be a part of the army leading them to him. Kindness can go a long way.

All the doors should be locked all the time once the students are in the building. I taught in public schools for over 40 years, we practiced lockdown procedures with the students.

Praying daily for all the students, teachers and admins at all schools in our country. So many threats in many counties and cities here resulting in soft and hard lockdowns. Numerous arrests of students daily, plus 2 adults. Sad, sad, sad. ☹

Stephanie, since the incident happened in Georgia, our schools here have been extra vigilant. Schools in my area had the same threat and my grandkids, north of here, stayed home due to a threat at their school. Here, they put more police officers at the area schools. Our kids should not have to deal with this.

I live in Southern Indiana and my 13 yr old got a snapchat about her school being on this list for a school shooting yesterday morning 9/12...she called us from the bus scared to death so we met the bus at the school and brought her home...this stuff is ridiculous and we gotta do something...all she knew was that she just heard about the school shooting down in Georgia last week and she thought it was gonna happen to her and her friends...blessing to y'all

These school threats all over the United States are getting ridiculous! Just last night, a 15 year old was arrested right here in my hometown or posting threats of shooting up a school on social media. Today's society is so sad! You never know anymore! We all must be very vigilant of our surroundings everywhere we go. It is such a shame!

I worked in Australian school and in 28 years we had three lockdowns one was a angry student and the other two were strangers present on school ground's scary for the students (yr 6 9)

Your home progress is amazing. Just a suggestion, when I worked at a furniture place, there was always a big delay with special orders on your furniture, especially during the coming holidays. So, you might want to order your items or even investigate their lead time, so you will at least have furniture for your Christmas festivities.

You don’t scatter the feed enough. Who stands in the feed room door and tosses? You should be walking around doing a wide scatter. No hate, just cuts down on fighting and assuring that everybody gets some. And, you can close the door a walk away easier. 👍

I’m Probably old enough to be your mom. There is so much mental illness in our country especially with children. When I was a child or raising my kids mental illnesses was rare. Things that have changed was internet. So many kids are on internet or social media people don’t communicate with each other anymore can’t criticize in anyway anyone. Criticism can be good. People don’t have discussion they don’t talk in person so they get offended by everything text messages don’t show emotion so people don’t know how to act when spoken to. Instead of playing out side kids today are on device. And most people like things and so all families instead of spending time with each other the work to get things. People don’t know how to commit to each other to raise a family back in my day we had traditional families. Not pretend families who play house. We committed we gave our kids security of family husband wife and kids. Today live together pretend your a family then when things get tough you go your separate ways. I think we need to fix the mental illness problem.

I am 73 and agree with you 100%. Social media is both wonderful and a curse. You can't go places anymore and start a conversation with anyone because they are on their devices, it is an addiction. I prepare food for holidays a day or two in advance so I can spend time with family when they visit.... one of my niece's kids, he is the only one, who has the courtesy to not look at his phone while visiting....the others not so much. I am one who likes to "stop and smell the roses" and one of the few who still has a flip phone (yep). I enjoy the outdoors....animals, gardening, nature, and all the beautiful things God has created....except squirrels, I HATE squirrels.

The same thing happened here. Was suppose to happen during 6th period so they sent noticed to parents. A lot of parents got their kids out of school. Our school doors are always locked and there are police in every school. When I was a kid we had fire and tornado training in school. Now our schools have active shooting training. This is so crazy.

Stephanie just for your peace of mind. They caught the child that had been sending threats to schools all over the USA . It was a 12 year old girl from Ohio that was doing it . They traced her computer IP address back to her home address and arrested her. They were multiple states that she targeted. All schools were in high alert the last few days because of it. But I do know school that canceled school for couple days in New York New Jersey, Ohio, Kentucky and lots other states also. She said she was doing it to get attention from her parents. But she’s still under police care for the time.

That’s good they have drill on fire drills earthquakes and lockdown Here in California we do have drills about 2 times school year’s elementary and juniors high school and Highs school to they do let’s us know with emails too on the drills
