Ok, let me say myself and a friend were out in the country facing east sitting on back of the car when we saw what I thought was the moon, but was moving too fast went towards the horizon for couple seconds then started moving at a 45 to the left from there it cresentened out and disappeared all in the matter of 10 Seconds or so, it looked as if it had craters and was a orange looking color like what you see in pictures of mars but more orange than red. I asked was that the moon, the response I got was the moon is over there pointing behind and above us, sure enough the moon was there half to quarter of the size of what we had just witnessed to the east. This happened around 89 in the spring to early summer. Maybe someone can get a track on whatever it was, it was close and huge in size, one would think gravitational pull would have caused some kind of catastrophic event as close as it passed earth, but we had nothing, which I cant explain myself, but I am 100 percent serious about this!
